Tetra 246911 Active Aquarium Substrate 6 L

Tetra substrate fixed clowdy water problem for my aquarium. I placed substrate as the lower level, added one more layer of pond substrate, covered with stones. Plants love it, water cleared in couple days. Also added good bacteria gel into filter, all worked well for plants and fish are happy.

Still thriving after a long time. Nice chunky substrate, cloudy but easily rinsed, some floating pieces but not a problem. Nice rich colour and provided my plants with nutrients they needed. Not too heavy as I only bought small amount. Easy to use as instructions were basic and loaded into my tank after washing. My fish filter all day long living the larger sized pieces. I have medium to large fish and they love it. Great x

It is good for price and works as it should

Decent value substrate. The plants in my smaller tanks are growing nicely with it. The bag lasts ages for nanotanks.

Needed a lot of cleaning. Good for new tank set up but don't use if you have fish already and be patient with it. Also a fair admit of it floated and was therefore useless

Compré el Tetra ActiveSubstrate para renovar el fondo de mi acuario plantado y la diferencia se notó desde los primeros días. Es un sustrato de minerales naturales que mejora muchísimo la calidad del agua y favorece el crecimiento de las plantas. La raíz se fija rápido y las plantas lucen más verdes y fuertes. Otra cosa que me gustó es que no enturbia el agua al colocarlo ( tienes que lavarlo antes varias veces antes de colocarlo ) , algo que suele pasar con otros sustratos. Además, ayuda a estabilizar la biología del acuario, por lo que los peces y gambas parecen más activos y cómodos. La granulometría es perfecta: ni muy fina ni muy gruesa, lo que facilita la limpieza y evita que se levante con el filtro. Se ve natural y estéticamente queda muy bien. En resumen, un producto de gran calidad, ideal para mantener un acuario sano y bonito. Si querés un sustrato fiable y sin complicaciones, este es una excelente opción. ¡Totalmente recomendado!

3l is good quantity for a 10 gallon aquarium. I had some plants that were struggling without a good soil. So planted them in this and now they are slowly gaining health. This aquasoil comes at a better price vs the competition. The texture is good and it releases a bunch of nutrients that supports plant growth. But you need to rinse it multiple times before adding to the aquarium as it tends to have a lot of impurities that need to be washed off.
