Easy Phonic Words (Usborne Very First Reading)

Really useful in help child to understand words

I got the book for my 4-year old daughter, who knew basic sounds and blending, I also got few other early readers series recommended for her reading level, She loved that book, It was the first book, that herself wanted to read "just one more page" :-) Every page focuses on 1 sound - which was a very good practice for her, and in line with how she was later taught in Junior Infants/Pre-K, Additionally - every page is around a theme, and the illustrations are funny, so she could make up her own story with the words, As someone mentioned - you do need to eventually show your child a sight words, but this book prepared her for blending different sounds, making it easier to progress to sight words and a little more advanced books. Strong recommendation.

Has been good for my son to practise letter sounds and "reading" as he was good at sounding and blending. It's a series of pictures with labels to read, each page focuses on one of the main phonemes (sounds that make up the words including the letters of the alphabet and sounds like ch, sh, th, ee etc.). However, it's helpful to work on high frequency/sight words too which aren't covered in this book as this enables reading of books with a story which ultimately proves more satisfying. Ask for this at your local library first, it's really useful for a short while, only buy if you can't borrow, but worth giving a go.

Consiglio questo come primer libro per chi han bimbi che stano imparando a parlare la lingua inglese, e sopratutto che stano iniziando con la parte de i suoni “Phonics”, la mia bimba di 2.5 anni le piace guardare le figure e dopo Io le ripeto il suono di ogni parola che si abbinano con diverse parole che hanno le stesso suono. My 4.5 year old loves this book , it helps her understand words from the picture and it also has covered a good number of words! This can be read before starting to read a book officially on their own ! It is really best word book with simple words !!
