I bought this item over 6 months ago but then it stopped working. I contacted the seller and they were fabulous in customer service. I received a replacement within a week of reporting the issue and it was very easy to do this. The replacement seems to be working perfectly again. Would highly recommend!

My laptop doesn't have an ethernet port, only USB. This adapter connected the internet signal coming through my ethernet cable into a USB plug which I then plugged into my laptop for a wired internet connection. Nice and fast without the wifi range issues especially if using multiple zoom/teams calls. One slight nuisance is that the USB plug on this adapter is not a great fit meaning if I move my laptop in can lose signal on the odd occasion. I thought it was my USB port but it's the same with my other laptop too. Overall, worth it for the money though.

I got this to start a new job on the 9th of december so just over 2 months later I've had to get a new one, I sit on a bed working from home with a laptop on a 4 on 4 off basis.. so barely move about when in use yet the wires fraid and broke really really quickly. I'm actually still within the returns date that's how quick its broken. For the past 2/3 weeks now it's been impacting my work and disconnecting me during calls with clients. I do not recommend this product as its flimsy and weak

This ruined my devices: my laptop and another adapter I used to connect this to my iphone and iPad. Initially I was happy when I got the product, it looked like the images and it worked fine. HOWEVER within just a few days this stopped working and didn’t work so my laptop and other devices couldn’t even recognise it to connect to the internet. I decided to order anew one from another seller that worked fine. However whilst waiting it was a nightmare as my laptop no longer was able to connect to any network so I couldn’t even connect to WiFi as usual or use mobile hotspot as ’network and internet settings‘ aspect no longer worked.i did a troubleshoot which identified the faulty adapter caused the issue. Then had to restart whole computer which was a nosing as I had several important documents and online files that I couldn’t even save because of the adapter messing up the network connection ability to connectors ANYthing. Absolute nightmare. Quality is very low, durability is astonishingly terrible, the appearances as advertised however it is not sustainable or fit for purpose for long term use, also with the risk of ruining and tampering with devices as I experienced, would not recommend. Maybe I got a bad batch but certainly not worth the risking my opinion, if buying this, buy a back up one from a different seller just in case as it wasn’t compatible to my windows or iOS devices.. additionally the wire material is extremely low quality as the outer rubber disconnected from the usb port section, so the adapter was very sensitive to the port until it became unrecognisable to the devices. Pretty sure it caused the USB port to malfunction as well so I have had to use other ports for my device. Terrible user experience unfortunately.

Works a treat

I purchased this because my laptop does not have an Ethernet socket (also called LAN or RJ45 port). This adaptor has a USB 2.0 connector which is good enough for occasional use. However, for anyone anticipating using this kind of device for heavy internet use, then I think it would be worth paying a little extra and getting one with a faster connector, such as a USB 3.

I bought this to use with my MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) with the Intel dual-core processor. I simply plugged it into a USB port, went to Network in System preferences and there it was with a green dot next to it showing that it was active. Plug and play at its best. Download and streaming speeds have increased compared to a WiFi connection so I'm delighted, especially at so low a cost.

The cable for connecting an Internet cable to a computer that does not have a computer internet cable input , but only USB works fine, I use many years , still works fine. For many years he has been helping in the office where there is no Wi-Fi for laptop operation and Internet connection via cable
