Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior: Second Edition

Sometimes when you have loved a book such as Way of the peaceful warrior as I did it is a worry that the follow up to it will be a disappointment. In this case that is not an issue as this is a fantastic story in its own right.

Having read the The Way of the Peaceful Warrior, this was a great follow-up and really enjoyable. I have three more to read by Dan Millman in the series and I am really looking forward to them all.

Lovely story and a must-read if you liked The Way of The Peaceful Warrior. Both of his books are especially nice reads for when on holiday as your mind is usually more open and positive at that time, which increases the "effectiveness" of Millman's wonderful message.

Almost as good as the 'Way of the Peaceful Warrior'. Definitely an interesting read.

I won't write a review about the book itself -just type it on Google if that's what you need- but about the item. It's likw new, from the very first page to the very last one, so happy considering the low price I paid for it.

Do not expect a sequel from the first book. This book takes place within the first book whilst Dan is travelling around the world. Compared to the first book I find this a great novel, purely fiction, that is just lovely to read. No "spiritual enlightment" as in the first book. If you liked the first one, do not hesitate to read this one too. But read it with joy rather than looking for the great wisdom.

Love how fiction and reality intertwine to reveal life as it should be seen.As you read ,you sense your own spiritual journey unfolding.Thank you Dan.

an adventure book good for all ages which will generate the energy to make you go do that thing that you always wanted to do. a lovely spiritual quest.

As I was deeply fascinated by the first book, Way of the peaceful warrior, Sacred Journey was the obvious next step to take on my own path. Having lived in Hawaii myself, the story touched me in a way even the first book didn't manage to do. I could fully relate with Dan, at times it even felt like I was the protagonist myself. I want to thank the author and that "loving rounded woman" for all the wisdom, teachings and new perspective I gained on this fantastic journey. Mahalo! =)

Another Dan Millman must read

I've read all of Dan's books, they are modern, thoughtful, insightful and meaningful if you let them be. However what I used to do was read, ruminate and then forget the lessons. I no longer do that, I am re-reading all of Dan's materials and taking those "Ah hah" bits and implementing them. Those "bits" I speak of will be the times you read and either get skin bumps or feelings of dejavu, those are the moments you stop and write down or record on your phone exactly what you are feeling, trust on that one it's very much the path of change! Thank you to Dan for these great snippets of wisdom!

Where "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" opened my eyes (and quite widely, on many occasions), this sequel hit me deeper than I'd expected it to. I love this book so much, and the journey the story's hero, Dan Millman's avatar of the same name, takes with the wise guide Mama Chia, has been hard to shake. But that's a good thing, I don't want to shake it, and don't think I can. I was sad to finish this book, but happy to know the story goes even deeper with "The Hidden School."
