Concert Ukulele Strings, Titanium, EJ87C, 4-String Set, Pack of 1

Had always used Aquila strings on my concert uke as they seem to be universally acknowledged as the only ones to have! However, on searching the store to order a new set I read the blurb about d'dadario titanium strings and risked buying a set! They are transparent with a slightly purple hue and look very smart. The G in the set I received was long enough to install with enough spare to provide a replacement, don't know if this is intentional but it's a welcome bonus as it always seems to be the G that breaks first! The tension across the strings seems even but slightly tighter than Aquilas preventing unwanted string bending when fretting chords. The tone is distinctly bright with increased sustain producing a very pleasing tone, especially if you use a finger picking style, which as a guitarist, I do. This clearer, sharper sound delivers credibility to the instrument as a serious one and not a plinky plonky comedy tool! Consequently I have been encouraged to play my uke much more and that has to be good.

I had been using other strings up until this purchase and now all I will use going forward are these strings. The sound quality is amazing and they are long lasting. Quality product. Thank you.

I fitted these for my Cordoba 24C concert. They were a great improvement on the Aquila Nylgut fitted on purchase and are great for strumming and thumb chord / melody arrangements where they give a really vibrant tone in the upper registers. However they are not so good for my type of fingerstyle playing where I used the fleshy part of my fingers rather than just the fingernail. The strings are a bit too thin to have the right response. Having said that, I generally use my tenor and baritone ukes for fingestyle. If you are into fingerstyle playing then I would recommend the D'addario fluorocarbon strings.

Nice strings, they have a monofilament core and they have a purple-ish tinge to them. They are very bright sounding and really loud. They improved a soprano that had some projection issues and I like them for their feel. Slightly glossy feel but mild on the fingers.

Really like these, won't buy any others for my banjolele or concert Enya.

I bought these strings for a cheap soprano ukulele that I wanted to sound better and I can only say what a difference! The strings felt like glass and made the overall sound brighter. My only criticism would be that I had selected the soprano option but received concert strings. They fitted fine, but just be aware of this if your buying strings for a bigger ukulele.

Nice bright sound. Have taken quite a long time to bed in, which has meant continually re-tuning. But finally settled in.

I got the titanium concert strings. They are so pretty though! And they feel great too. A lovely clear purple that has a glass-like texture that your fingers just glide on. The picture doesn’t do it justice. I’ve been exploring different string and I love the way these look and sound! They have a nice crisp and bright sound that is very appealing. They are also great at staying and tune (this could be the ukulele…) and durable too! If you are like me and have a habit of forgetting to change strings or being too lazy to do so, these work great.

いつもはEJ88のナイルテックを愛用していますが 気分転換にチタニウム弦をマンゴーに張ってみました。 ナイロンにチタニウムが練り込まれてるということで EJ65のスタンダードなナイロンよりも 煌びやかになってます。 音色はフロロカーボンに近く、 感触はナイロン。 とてもクリアな感じで明るいサウンドが欲しい方は 向いてると思います。 反対にしっとり、まろやかサウンドが好みの方は 不向きですね。 何本か持ってる方なら そのうち1本はEJ87を張っておくと満足できるかもしれません。 僕はナイルテック、チタニウム、サバレスのスリートップになりました。

Very generous string length, could've been enough for 2 concert ukuleles but I didn't try. Good volume, fairly bright - but they are very thick so not very comfortable to play. If that's your style these are OK strings but I much prefer fluorocarbons. Not sure why D'Addario call these Titanium, seems to be mostly marketing.

Tienen una gran calidad de sonido, las mejores cuerdas que pude haber comprado. Desde que las puse, el sonido de mi ukulele mejoró notablemente. Las compré especialmente porque se supone que eran de un color púrpura translúcido, aunque realmente solo parecen ser transparentes, es el único “pero” que le pongo, porque realmente me llamaron mucho la atención por el color y quería algo diferente a las cuerdas habituales. Generalmente 11/10. Incluso sentí como si fuera un instrumento nuevo, con una acción perfecta y un tacto suave.

El sonido que estas cuerdas dan es maravilloso, definitivamente las más recomendables además de su peculiar color morado transparente que le dan un estilo muy padre al uke... en mis uke Luna les da un sonido muy padre!!
