Garrett 1140900 Pro-Pointer at,Orange

This is quality and you can feel it. Its accurate and powerful with 3 sensitivity settings. The cheaper ones dont last and are not as powerful as this. Its more expensive yes but you get what you pay for and this is worth the money i feel. As a pin pointer its second to none. Also waterproof to 20 feet.

Battery dead on arrival, changed for new battery, dead within a few weeks even though not used and turned off, another new battery, dead again after a few weeks. Returning for one that hopefully doesnt kill 9v batteries as they get expencive. When I did get a use out of it it was fantastic, game changer in pinpointing small targets in muddy conditions. Product is fantasic apart from my one eats 9v batteries. Hope the replacement is all good.

Good sensitivity for accurately pinpointing finds

Excellent in the metal detecting field. It has 6 settings and one button to turn it on and off and to scroll and select through the different settings. Unfortunately, I'm forever switching it into 'Select' mode and then end up faffing about - what a pain that is. I've only ever used it for detecting on maximum range with sound & vibration. It needs a better way of stopping you selecting 'Select mode' or some kind of 'Lock' feature. The current method is rubbish. But it's still a good probe :-)

Great pinpointer...works well.

Excellent product. If you are buying this you most likely know what it is all about. It does what it says on the tin, makes digging and locating items so much easier. Adjustable sensitivity and auto ground balance works well. My 5 year old daughter also has great fun using it to make her own finds as it can actually be used to some extent as a very basic detector for finds very close to or on the surface, which is fun for kids. I also use it for locating screws in stud walls.

Arguably the best pinpointer around. Robust with excellent waterproofing. Great features vibrate,sound and lost alarm feature if you drop it. The orange stands out a mile so you stand a good chance if finding it if accidentally dropped. Good battery life. Very good accuracy and deals with interference very well. Best by a long way

I already had the Garrett Pro Pointer but damaged it by taking it apart, to rectify a glitch. On investigation the glitch was mineralised soil not the glitch that the Internet implied. I sent the Pro Pointer off for repair and as I didn't want to be without a pinpointer I ordered the new Garrett "carrot". Best buy I've made on Amazon so far, as easy to use as the original but with increased and decreased sensitivity, BRILLIANT!!!!!! I know it's only coincidence but one of my first finds was 2 1697 William 111 half crowns

After watching countless metal detecting youtube videos and boring my girlfriend senseless, I decided to buy the GARRETT CARROT. Well let me tell you. The thing is extremely sensitive, and easy to use. Itll pick up my fridge and sink from almost 2 feet away as you can see in the video. (Ignore the big bug in the sink) now that being said in the field it's amazing too. Itll pick up a coin from 4 inches away, however if the coin is on its side it's more like an inch as the profile is very thin. If you metal detect and hope to find TREASURE you probably still wont, BUT you will definitely find more nails, rusty bits, bottle caps, and pop tabs. You will pinpoint things extremely accurately and easily. I have a bounty hubter pinpointer and it wouldnt pick up a 1 ton slab of steel if you stabbed it into it... this garrett would pick the thing up from the international space station. GARRETT you've done it again. I added this to my AT Pro, and now I'm finding all kinds of useless rusty tetnis infested metal bits :) Guys... this is a fantastic buy, if you metal detect you need to buy this thing.
