Very useful and helpful. Protects eyes when cleaning. I was worried that they might be too big since they were medium size but it was a perfect fit.

Not a massive amount to be said about these safety glasses considering their purpose and entry level price. I purchased them as I have a lot of DIY coming up involving the use of power tools and appear to have lost my previous pair. Like many of us, I often ignore the health and safety guidelines, but with eyes, it’s so not worth the risk considering how we only have one set of eyes and how they aren’t something that’s going to heal. For just £2.22, anyone using a cordless drill or similar without wearing a pair of these for such a low cost with free postage is extremely unwise. I can’t comment on the longevity of these at this point, however they seem very sturdy but still light weight seeming to have struck a good balance between the two factors. They are designed to look very neutral so would suit any gender just fine and the clear design provides good protection whilst maximising visibility. For the price, I can’t fault them.

I use these for work where they are madatory on site; don't have to use for prolonged periods. Generally comfortable to wear and don't press too tightly against my head. They are close fitting, as required, and my main issue is that in the recent hot weather they steam up very quickly, which I suppose is to be expected. They do the job at the right price and fine for short periods of use.

I keep losing work glasses so seeing these were pretty inexpensive (£2.22) I decided to get a few pairs to try. These are the totally transparent ones. I’m actually really happy with them. They look decent, no frills but do the job with good eye coverage. Pretty comfortable to wear and lightweight. Handy to have around. I’ll probably buy another couple pairs…. If they are around the same price. If they break, not the end of the world. So far, so good though.

Die 3M Virtua AP Schutzbrille ist ein typisches Beispiel für ein Produkt, bei dem man zunächst wenig erwartet und am Ende positiv überrascht wird. Es handelt sich um eine sehr einfache, schnörkellose Schutzbrille ohne Extras, ohne austauschbare Gläser oder verstellbare High-End-Mechanik. Genau das ist aber auch ihre Stärke: Sie erfüllt ihren Zweck zuverlässig und tut das zu einem Preis, der absolut angemessen ist. Im Alltagseinsatz – sei es bei handwerklichen Arbeiten, beim Heimwerken, im Keller, in der Garage oder auch bei Reinigungsarbeiten – macht die Brille genau das, was sie soll: Die Augen schützen. Sie sitzt leicht auf dem Kopf, übt keinen unangenehmen Druck aus und kann auch über längere Zeit getragen werden, ohne dass sie stört. Das geringe Gewicht fällt sofort positiv auf, gerade wenn man Schutzbrillen kennt, die nach kurzer Zeit drücken oder ständig verrutschen. Die Gläser sind klar und verzerren das Sichtfeld nicht. Das klingt banal, ist aber ein wichtiger Punkt, denn gerade bei günstigen Schutzbrillen kommt es durchaus vor, dass das Sehen unscharf wirkt oder sich das Blickfeld unangenehm anfühlt. Das ist hier nicht der Fall. Man kann problemlos präzise arbeiten, ohne das Gefühl zu haben, durch eine „Billiglinse“ zu schauen. Auch seitlich bietet die Brille einen ordentlichen Schutz, ohne das Sichtfeld unnötig einzuschränken. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist, dass die Brille gut mit anderer Ausrüstung kombinierbar ist. Sie lässt sich problemlos zusammen mit Gehörschutz oder einer Maske tragen, ohne dass sie stark verrutscht oder stört. Natürlich ist sie nicht dafür gedacht, eine eng anliegende Vollschutzbrille zu ersetzen, aber für die meisten typischen Anwendungen im Haushalt oder Hobbybereich reicht der Schutz vollkommen aus. Was man wissen sollte: Die Brille ist bewusst einfach gehalten. Es gibt keine Verstellmöglichkeiten, keine weichen Dichtlippen und keinen speziellen Antibeschlagmechanismus. Je nach Einsatz und Umgebung kann sie daher beschlagen, was allerdings in dieser Preisklasse absolut üblich ist. Wer regelmäßig unter extremen Bedingungen arbeitet, wird ohnehin zu einem höherpreisigen Modell greifen. Für gelegentliche bis regelmäßige Arbeiten ist das hier aber völlig in Ordnung. Die Verarbeitung wirkt solide. Nichts knarzt, nichts fühlt sich extrem billig an, und auch nach mehrmaligem Auf- und Absetzen macht die Brille einen robusten Eindruck. Man hat nicht das Gefühl, dass sie nach wenigen Einsätzen auseinanderfällt. Gerade von 3M erwartet man eine gewisse Grundqualität, und die wird hier auch geliefert – ohne Schnickschnack, aber zuverlässig. Unterm Strich ist die 3M Virtua AP Schutzbrille ein sehr gutes Beispiel für funktionale Schutzkleidung mit starkem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Sie ist leicht, bequem, optisch neutral und erfüllt ihre Aufgabe ohne große Schwächen. Wer eine einfache, günstige Schutzbrille sucht, die man ohne großes Nachdenken greift und benutzt, macht hier nichts falsch. Genau so sollte ein Basisprodukt dieser Art funktionieren.
