Works on old Mac with Fedora and more
I tested it with Fedora 43 (on an old MacBook Pro) and Kali (on an old Sony Vaio), and Kali in Fedora (preinstalled) Boxes. Just plug and play, just work, no download or install anything whatsoever. Monitor enabled.

Windows great. Linux greater.
Works amazing with windows. Did not even register on kali Linux. UPDATE: upgrading to 5 stars b/c on linux I had to install the drivers for it to work. Once I did, it picked up even better on linux. Amazing! 5 stars.

Helps with understanding of ever-growing cyber threats
I used this WiFi USB stick to learn basic troubleshooting and WiFi diagnostics with a virtual machine. It was a really fun and hands-on way to understand how wireless networks work. The experience also helped me learn important skills to protect myself from ever-growing cyber threats. Great tool for anyone interested in networking or cybersecurity basics.

Plug and play, Win 10
I had to move my DSL router to a different room and experienced frequent WiFi loss to my tower PC. I had previously connected to my router via cat 5 cable, so not sure if my connection problem was due to structural interference or a flaky on board WiFi adapter. I'm only about 20 feet from the router but a brick facia and two insulated walls were now in my signal path. I needed an adapter that could be placed above the floor on a window sill. This adapter has resolved my problem. Worked plug and play with my Win 10 PC. Included CD driver not used/needed. I disabled my onboard adapter in Windows settings, rebooted. Can't remember if I rebooted after connecting this adapter or not but it works with Windows drivers. The cable could be longer for a PC located on the floor and the base could be a little bigger/heavier for stability. It is designed such that a weight/magnet could be attached to the base if desired. Should be fine for most users. Good product, works as designed, solved my problem.

Windows plug and play!
I was concerned at first about the enclosed CD programs and unsigned drivers to be downloaded from .TW The enclosed instructions had Windows 98 era screen shots. Fear not! It worked w/windows 11 out of the box plug and play. No downloads or CD installation needed.

The Night I Plugged in and Saw the City Differently
I sat in my apartment overlooking the street. Everything looked quiet — normal. But normal is an illusion. I connected the AWUS036ACS and opened my scanning tools. The device woke up instantly, like it had been impatiently waiting for orders. The antenna tuned itself into the chaos around me. Suddenly: the entire block lit up in the terminal like a neural network diagram. Apartments. Offices. Stray IoT junk. Signals bouncing off brick, asphalt, windows, metal. The adapter didn’t just see strong networks — it saw the ones everyone else forgets. Weak signals leaking from behind concrete. Dormant devices broadcasting heartbeat beacons. Access points hiding behind channel overlap like ghosts behind fog. The street outside was silent. My screen was roaring. This adapter doesn’t give you new abilities. It reveals the ones your hardware always lacked. If you want to see how alive the airwaves truly are, plug one of these in at night. It changes your perspective.

Does not work with ubuntu - requires you to compile and install custom third-party drivers
The manufacturer does not provide drivers for Linux. If you’re a very technical person, you can locate third-party drivers and compile and install them. However, for my system, I tried several methods and was not able to get it working. I did several hours of additional research online for alternative methods and tried several of those which also failed. Returning item and buying something. Compatible and easier to use. Since I wasn’t able to get it to work on the B2, or Debian, I decided to install the latest version of Kelly Lennox updated. I then tried several methods suggested online to install the drivers for the adapter, and none of them worked either. Unfortunately, this item is not compatible with any versions or distributions of Linux, including the latest version of Cali enormous amount of work time and effort to try and get it to work if you’re able to get it to work at all. I’ll be returning the item and would not recommended for anyone using anything other than a Windows operating system. there are other USB Wi-Fi adapters that still have the ability to go into promiscuous mode and capture packets without all of the trouble And difficulties. Horrible product. Needs a lot of work and the manufacturer should provide certified drivers. anything else is just a crapshoot
