I call it a book for looks because I don't use it. It's a good book and I recommend it if you need to prepare or just practice... You can't go wrong getting this book HiSET; even if you do what I do... LOOK 😂🤣😅

My daughter dropped out of school in 10th grade and realized soon afterwards it was a mistake however it took 5 years for her to make arrangements to obtain her diploma. This book was recommended by a teacher at the local community college and proved quite useful in helping her familiarize herself with subjects she had long forgotten. It was very helpful in preparing her for the placement tests as well as hiring a study guide for quick reference

The HiSET preparation book is an excellent resource for preparing a student to succeed in the goal to master the knowledge needed to do well on a higg school equivalency exam. It begins with an effective strategy for planning how to divide the work entailed into mamnageable time segments, as well as reassuring test taking strategies, that will decrease a student's anxiety regarding learning the material, as well as tips for answering questions that are confusing or difcult to comprehend. It's math reference sheet, provided key information for solving math equations successfully. The book is well laid out, offering clear sections featuring subjects and review materials which are incoroporated into the exam, as well as practice questions, answers and explanations for best answers. Subjects covered include language arts, such as reading and writing, mathematics, including data analysis, probability, algebra and more science, focusing on priniples of life, physical and earth science including knowledge of atmosphere, weather and the cycles of water. The book concludes with a review of social studies, focusing on developing skills for analyzing historical sources and recognizing perspectives that effect one's world view. It presents an overview of specific time frames in World and US history, beginning with the contributions of the Greco-Roman civilizationand European exploration and colonization of territory that eventually became the United States. It continues with a historical review of the events that led from coloniztion to te emergence of the United States as a country, the civil war between the northern and southern states, World Wars I and II, the Great Depression, the Civil Rights Movement, and the destruction of the World Trade Center. In its Civics section, it describes the responsibilites of a citizen living in a democracy, and focuses on the structures and functions of the different levels of governement found in the United States, the process for passing, enacting and enforrcing law, the role of the federal, sate and local government, including the Native American Tribes, and the electoral process. In its overview of economics, it explores factors of production, supply and demand, theory of the firm, economy as a whole, and how certain factors such as unemployment, interest rates, et cetera will affect production, consumption and economic growth, and the influence of government on the economy.
