Not for outdoor use in the UK or EU
Umm - Fipronil was banned for agricultural use in the EU and UK in 2013 because of concerns about its persistence in the environment, killing insects far beyond and for long after its original application. The only licensed products that contain Fipronil in the UK are veterinary pet treatments for fleas and ticks (and tbh even those are, from an environmental point of view, problematic). Although it looks as if this product has been imported legally from the US (hence its high price), whether it is legal to use this in a garden setting in the UK is arguable, and because of the agricultural ban the broad labelling "for outdoor use" is not accurate for anyone buying within the EU and UK.

This works great taking care of ants around the perimeter of your home. You can mix a 3 different strengths depending on what you're looking to accomplish. This is the same product that Orkin was using in my area so buying this saves a bunch of money over using Orkin. It is easy to apply but you should check local regulations before using and also only use as much as necessary. Over application will not increase effectiveness and is not environmentally responsible. If used as directed it is a very effective product against carpenter ants and other insects around your homes perimeter.

I used this on two different properties and it seemed to stop big carpenter ants and little tiny red ants in their tracks. I used a hand sprayer to apply it where the foundation of the house and the ground met. One property is up on pillars which I also treated. This product was suggested to me by a retired entomologist.

This is an amazing product and I am grateful to be able to purchase it in my state. Fipronil also known as Termidor is a non-attractant general purpose insecticide that works by accumulation. This particular version has been enhanced with added cellulose to give it better stability outside. To be quite clear, this is NOT a contact killer. The ants will not just drop dead with this stuff. For that, you want to use something like bifenthrin which has a different mechanism of action. This poison accumulates in the ants and is taken to the queen where it slowly kills the entire colony over a period of days to weeks. Wear gloves, protective long clothing, and a mask when applying for maximum safety, this stuff does bioaccumulate and avoiding contact with it is a good idea. It is best used as a barrier layer around the outside of your home and inside near windows and doors. For infestations inside, consider augmenting with a grease based fipronil bait station or a sugar based station depending on the type of ant.

There are lots of yellow jacket traps. Most do catch them, but they don't really reduce the problem. The queen just lays more eggs for fallen fighters. if you reside in an area with lots of them, then you have to either put out the yellow jacket hotels EARLY, like March or April (depending on the location and climate) or use something like this, that the bees will take back to the hive. I mix a teaspoon of this with a meatball of ground or chopped meat, (hamburger, chicken, fish, whatever) Anything that attracts them. The bees come and take it back to the nest and the next day the nest is dead! If bees die while eating the bait, then you made it too strong. Mix more meat in the remainder and that will dilute the poison. The BEST thing I've found for YJ control. I hate using poison in general, but these insects do very little good that I can see and this is targeted directly to them. I raise honey bees also and I can put this our right on the hive and the Honey bees won't touch it.
