I’m quite happy with this kit, with a couple caveats. Pros and cons, broken down by product. Cleaner Pros: Cleaner works very well. Doesn’t have a strong solvent smell which is honestly very nice. Cleans powder residue quickly and easily. Doesn’t leave any spotting or marks on polymer frames. When it comes to bluing, melonite, cerakote and nitride finishing it does a phenomenal job of making said surfaces look brand new. Well done! Cleaner Cons: The sprayer is just okay. It isn’t great, it isn’t the worst I’ve used. This could be improved heavily. Doesn’t do much for copper fouling which isn’t a con per se as it also isn’t a solvent and I didn’t expect it to. I have products for that. Overall excellent cleaner! Now offer larger quantities fellas. Graphene CLP Pros: I love this stuff, so I’m going to just start right here. It does precisely what is says it goes and makes cleanup a breeze. Seems to offer excellent protection albeit being a wee bit on the thin side. This stuff is slightly more viscous than water. I’ll say dawn dish soap struggled to wash it off my hands, so that’s promising for the cling properties. Running a patch of this stuff through the bore followed by a dry patch makes cleanup far more easy and seemed to help with copper fouling from my rather messy 10mm. This product is the bees knees. Also makes the melonite on my XDM repel finger prints like a boss. Cons: This is the suck part. The bottle is god awful. It leaks and the applicator nozzle has two rates of flow - drip or faucet. This should’ve came in a needle bottle from the start. That’s exactly what I did with mine; put into a needle applicator bottle. This makes this literally the PERFECT gun oil for most uses. Just the bottle is absolutely awful. Conclusions: Both products are phenomenal. The oil is beyond excellent save for terrible packaging. The products themselves are absolutely worth buying and I’ll always support veteran owned companies. I do wish both products were offered in larger sizes as I’d gladly buy them. Word of advice guys: Needle oiler bottle for the CLP Graphene Better sprayer for the cleaner Uses for oil: You could use it everywhere. BCG in AR, bolt in bolt action rifles, send it down the bore of any weapon and send a clean dry patch next for corrosion inhibitor and cleanup ease properties. I personally use Lucas extreme duty grease for the slides on my handguns as that’s a heavy wear point for pistols, but everywhere else I use this stuff here. Uses for cleaner: Anything and everything that isn’t severely copper fouled. It literally makes light work of powder and carbon, cleans old oil off easily. This stuff is clutch. For copper fouling I’ll recommend Boretech eliminator offered by Midway USA. If you have the Boretech eliminator and the Riptide kit, you’re good to go for cleaning and field strip/maintenance on your firearms. This kit is so close to being perfect. I’ll order it again but I’m prepared to repackage the items into better bottles haha.

When ex. Navy SEALs develop a weapons system maintenance program I was eager to try it out. I have built a starter AR into a precision long range rifle that provides me with the ability to foul it up completely! Clean up was almost equal to time shooting! I saw that Riptide’s system is developed by ex SEALs so I bought the starter kit. I had too much carbon build up for the cleaning product to remove but it quickly worked out the grime inside the weapon I had to order an AR tool to physically remove the burned on carbon not wanting harsh chemicals in my living space. I applied the lubricant to the weapon and now I have a much easier time with cleaning and very little carbon buildup. So I am investing in the travel package to take when I travel and the whole bench system of towels and mats and products for regular maintenance. It’s well thought out and safe for my living space primarily and affordable.

I like the cleaner a lot, similar to MPro7 but dosnt leave a tacky feel to the plastic, softens carbon and does seem to make cleaning out AR uppers easier. The CLP while not the smelliest CLP I have smelt, it’s pretty close. Dose great cleaning the bore. It’s on the thinner side so I’ll probably stick with the Lucasoil CLP for primary lubrication but it does do a great job cleaning and I’m sure as a carosion preventive. Reminds me of Remoil, which is not a bad thing, the smell is even reminiscent of Remoil. Over all I’d definitely buy again, for under 40 bucks, most people would be getting a life time supply.

I had a sticky situation. My Surefire was frozen to the muzzle! I ordered this, sprayed it around the collar and muzzle. Let it sit, sprayed again, sit, then giggled it up and down. It popped right off and my jaw dropped! Awesome! Get some!

I have tried quite a few products over the last 40 years, and was always finding myself going back to what I had learned from my Father and Grandfather. Sometimes, there's just no tremendous benefit to reinventing the wheel. But, then again...if you don't try, you will remain a creature of habit. I am very glad I broke the habit, as this is the bees knees!!! The cleaner works fantastic with very little scrubbing required. The dirt and grime are broken down quickly and wipe away effortlessly. The CLP is also super slick and actually stays in place quite well.
