Bright, clean look, easy to install
Bought these to replace the traditional square can lights in my basement, where the diffuser seemed to be holding back the fixtures's performance. I was impressed with the design -- it's nice and clean, seems solid and well made, and thin. The clips and bevels are molded in such a way that the fixture is likely to fit various thicknesses of ceilings and has a pretty wide tolerance for the size of the hole itself. The junction box has 4 knockouts so you can choose the one(s) that make the most sense for which way your wires are coming from and you want them to bend. There is a quick connect between the LED driver and the light itself, so you can install the wiring without the light dangling in the way, then connect it when ready to fit it to the ceiling. They are as bright as advertised at the 4000K setting. I measured about 600 lux at 1 meter, which works out to the advertised 1920lm if the beam angle were 120 degrees. I estimated the beam angle to be about 110 degrees, but it's a soft edge, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The other color temperatures have a slightly reduced output, not surprising as warm or cool LEDs need to be dimmed to achieve a different ratio. Based on my measurements, expect the 2700K setting to be about 84% brightness, 3000K is around 91%, 3500K is around 98%, and 5000K is around 97%. I am personally using the 4000K setting anyway, not because it is the brightest, but because the color looks most pleasing in my workspace. The mixing of warm/cool LEDs probably gives the highest CRI at this setting, but I don't have the equipment to measure that. Overall I don't have anything to critique about these. In the photo, the light on the right is the new one, and on the left is the traditional one. After being on for a few hours, the diffuser still is cool to the touch, and the metal frame is slightly warm. Now I just hope they last a good long time.

Great light, but no margin for error in the instalation!
This was to replace a very old recessed square light in my home office that had the bulb at 90 degrees rather than facing down. Most of the light was lost no matter how high the bulb wattage was. Pros: 1. I was skeptical as to the brightness (given its LED) but this light is super bright, just as others have said! 2. It works flawlessly with my dimmer switch! 3. I finally don't have to use the light on my phone all the time to see small writing! 4. The snap in wire connections provided are great and I used an E26 Socket Adapter ($6 for 3!) and reused the old screw in socket to power this, so no messing with wires. There are some cons too (hence the 4 stars): 1. The punch out in the metal junction box leaves a razor edge, which may eventually cut through the cable. It needs a rubber grommet to protect the wires but didn't come with one, and I didn't have one. I used some electrical tape to protect the wire and added a foam insert, but still not ideal! 2. The hole size is very unforgiving as the overlap (lip) is very narrow (about a half inch) so if the hole is not the exact size specified you will have an unsightly finish. So be careful to double check the hole dimensions before cutting! The company does not sell a size that would have matched my setup correctly, so I just made this one work. It's not entirely the products fault, but the old adage "measure twice..." is essential here given very little margin for error. 3. The spring loaded arms that hold it in place are very stiff and will tear up the ends of the drywall if you don't align it perfectly the first time. They are also very short (despite my drywall being the specified thickness) and the spring is too aggressive for what it needs to do, so they grip the edge of the drywall at its weakens point. Because the arms are so short the fitting still does not sit flush with the ceiling as the springs are pushing sideways rather than down! Summary. As a light it is great, but installation is not "plug and play" and requires a lot of care given the narrow tolerances.

They are worth it!
These lights met my expectations. I had old recessed square lights with a traditional light bulb in horizontal position inside. The illumination was poor but these lights changed it all. They include a template for the correct cut and they were easy to install. I wished they came with the piggy tail as other LED retrofits, but I managed easily.

You don’t need a box in the ceiling
Great and easy to install

Bought these to update old lighting. The built-in pot lights I had were just barely too big to take a 4" LED as they would pull in the hole some and it didn't want to get into filling/painting. Bought these instead of 6" as that would have been way to big for the area. Anyway, these look identical to the globe brand 4" I got from costco but are slightly more expensive (costco was $9 a light, these are about $13 a light). The plug is different though, from the box to the light fixture. The hole size needed is 5-5/16". The lights are 5-13/16" at the OD. They sit pretty flush, maybe 3/16" above the drywall surface. These come with three 4-port wagos per light, I didn't know this and bought extra. I like the color selector switch. Very easily match any light color you already have. Hopefully they last, but so far I'm impressed. Also, they are about 2x brighter than the GU10 LED bulbs in the previous fixtures and work mint with the dimmer. They dim all the way down where as the GU10's flickered alot and would go out when the switch was at ~30%.

Works great. I put mine inside of a 1950's or 1970's era recessed box (around 10.5" x 10.5"). Color selection and dimmer functionality work well.
