***(Update) The code is excellent. Aside from pricing - I can't see where all the complaints are coming from. Yes, FIFA sent us all back to 'boot' camp with this version - but there are some magnificent hidden treasures in this version. 'Dynamic Defense' is still available through aggressive AI and achievements. If you pick a sorry-ass team the game will Punish you in this version (I miss that part - but it's logical in real gameplay)***No spinning DVDs and mega fast load times (check) (Original Review) I've been playing FIFA PC (religiously) since 2012; skipped the 15 & 16 version for painfully obvious reasons; version 17 was plagued with online problems (so I went back to 14 for the game-play ***no longer supported online as of Oct 18th - see note below***). But, this episode is absolutely fabulous and makes up for the dementia I suffered in the last 3. And, Ronaldo is a 'flipping' nightmare in this game - once you build-up your defenses. Let me take you to my game rig: >Intel 6700k (yes, i7 is overkill for FIFA - but STAR WARS is coming); >GTX 1070 founders (EVGA) - Not Guilty!; >16 GB memory (more overkill, but STAR WARS is coming - and, I will not be guilty of bad frames when recording);>Samsung Pro 950 (fast loads) >*The most important: I have an [Xbox 4 PC] joy-stick, which is has been recognized on all versions and is setup/ready/go! The Pros: >For me, #1 is game play and realism of the player PhysX - which is damn incredible in this version (I turned off the rendering - and, because this game has so much High Def' - my eyes are still hurting from all the candy they added) *The frame-rates are ballistic* >Modes: everything is good (not great / don't care); Online, Computer AI, FUT, Manager?, Player Graduate, the 'dang' Practice has improvements ***Note: the only thing that might be a problem (individually speaking) is your Internet connection & EA's server in your area (I have no solution) - but, you can check the status on the ("status of the EA server website" - ea.com/service-updates) - which ***reports the games that they will no longer support***. So, I had to convert because FIFA 14 is on the 'no-happiness list' >Create your own Player: is just fascinating in this version (I will not spoil) >The stadiums are more accurate; the sound is improved; assisted play is an absolute mathematical essential; camera setup is geared towards 4k for some strange reason (no need for that in sports); you can shop for stuff that I never would have dreamed-up; ***the rest is just spoiler*** >Oh, and you have the option to select between Direct X 11 or 12 in main menu (important for older video cards) The Cons: It took me some time to adjust to the High Def' swirlys that are everywhere in this game (but only one long day); addiction will be much harder in this version; the current price is high (but worth every damn penny in my opinion). I'm a FIFA fan, having purchased the game every year. This year's game improves on the player movement and responsiveness. Dribbling, defense, and passing have all been upgraded from 17's version. Your precision when moving - on both offense and defense - can make or break your stride and player animation. Player animation is more identifiable, allowing you to take advantage of someone missing a tackle or being out of position. The passing feels a lot more natural, too; your players react better to the incoming pass better than in previous versions. For casual or new players, this game adds some new elements to a few of their enhancements in recent years - you can easily sub out players, based on recommendations the game provides. All-in-all, for casual or hardcore fans, this is a great game. Enjoy!

The best part is that with the digital code from Amazon, you don't have to wait on a disc and can start playing immediately! I definitely recommend this game!

Going by the fact my 6 year old son barely wanted to leave the house after receiving this for Christmas I would say he would give it full marks.

Great graphics and continuation of the story mode. If you have loved playing the previous versions then you will definitely enjoy this one as well. There is a reason this is the #1 selling sports game in the world for so many years now...Go for it...
