YETI Security Cable Lock and Bracket for Tundra Coolers

There’s a lot to like about this lock but it’s majorly flawed, this lock is great for short notice times when your away from your cooler, the issue is the wire is really not that think and I’m positive it could be cut fairly easy based on other reviews I’ve read. This lock is perfect for discouraging people who may feel tempted to take your cooler and commit a crime or for being away from the cooler for a couple hours, but throw this on your truck bed, leave it outside ect, if a their really wants your cooler and they have there eyes set on it, they will have it by the end of the night.

I just wanted to add some pictures to show this is an actual Yeti product. Lock comes with two keys and the metal bar that goes through the cooler is coated in what seems to be a rubber to keep it from messing up the cooler. The cable lock is thicker than I anticipated which to me is a good thing. Just a little extra peace of mind. I realize if someone wants to steal my Yeti they’ll get it but this will deter more than most and is good for just locking in bed of truck or to a pole at the camp site / beach.

The good news here is that it is exactly what I wanted, a nice cable lock to use to keep my Yeti Go Box and cooler secure at the beach. The bad news is that the key is just a nightmare. It's small and a royal pain in the caboose to insert. Maybe my old eyes and stubby fingers are too blame here as it is well engineered like any Yeti product but not right for me.

While at a public where over 6 Yetis were stolen mine got left behind by the bandits. This was all due to it being locked up to a pole in the area where we were camping. It is sad day that you have to lock up a freaking cooler, but I was happy to walk back to our area in the morning and my cooler was still there. Thank you Master Lock and Yeti for coming up with this great little gadget!!!

Seems to do the job. Can probably be cut with a bolt cutter but I doubt most crooks ride around with them or can even afford them.

It can still be cut and stolen and you're paying much more than it's worth because it's yeti brand, other than that....yeah we bought some overpriced stuff again...good job advertising, good job America...good job yeti
