PUREDROP - BEST ALL AROUND, GREAT PRICE, GREAT SUPPORT & A HIGH QUALITY RO SYSTEM
Wow Unbelievable. after 4 years - update. 2024. I called and talked with Nick again who provided the VERY BEST customer service I have ever gotten in my entire life. He answered the phone and within minutes my small install problem was solved and he is sending the part I needed at no charge. If you are looking for the best RO system, at the best price, you do not need to look any further. I did extensive research and found the Puredrop RO system to be the best overall. It has the best price, wonderful support, and is a very well-made quality system.ISPRING VS PUREDROPPuredrop is the same company that makes ISpring, which is also a very nice RO system. I was not sure if I should buy the Puredrop RO system compared the ISpring RO system, so I called support and asked the difference. I spoke with both Nick and Don who provided all the answers to my questions so that I could make an educated decision.ISpring RO t is more money, but you get more for your money: Larger Tank, a Clear 1st Stage tank, and a better faucet. In my case, it is just me and my wife, and I do not need a larger tank and I have a faucet from owning other RO systems and I would only be giving up the clear tank with the Puredrop System.CLEAR 1st STAGE TANKIf you change your filters on time, there really is no reason to see inside the first stage. If you are forgetful, it may be a good idea to get the Ispring system with the clear first stage tank.FILTERS AND MEMBRANEI had other RO systems in the past, and the biggest issue I have found was the cost to replace the filters-especially the membrane, which can be as high as $40 for some name brands—especially if you have to have the check value built into the membrane. The Puredrop RO has the check valve as a separate component in the system, which eliminates having to buy a membrane one with a built-in check valve. PLUS, I love it that PureDrop provides an extra set of filters for the next time the filters need to be changed. After researching the filters, I found that I can buy generic filters for a lot less and if I wanted the Puredrop brand, it was not that much more.INSTALLATION AND SMALLER TANKThe Puredrop RO system, which was easy to install with color coded water lines. So far everything is working fine and I really like the small compact tank, which gives me a lot more room for storage under the sink. There is no reason that I can see to have the larger tank for a family of two.CONCLUSIONThe Puredrop has been installed for a week when I wrote this review. I suspect that will not have any issues, but even if I do, I know that I can always call support: Nick or Don, and they will for sure take care of any issues I have for years to come.

Very satisfied
We bought this during the latest prime day sale and we are happy with it. The installation went fine, though I did end up watching a couple videos along with using the manual to be sure I had things right. There were no leaks on startup despite there being at least 20 connections that could have a water leak. Most of those already come connected by the factory and you don't have to do them but they are still a possible leak source. I read a comment by a plumber that recommended putting something under the tank as the materials making up its valve are more likely to leak than others. This particular tank is smaller than most under sink systems so is better if it's tight under there. If you have a larger household you may want a bigger tank but I honestly think it's sufficient for most families and it is always refilling when water is depleted. My countertop had a hole already that was occupied by a soap dispenser, so I repurposed it for the included filtered water faucet and we fill a nice-looking dish soap dispenser that sits next to the sink now instead. Drilling the hole in the PVC pipe was much easier than I feared. Make sure it is done above the trap and the hole is the correct diameter.I purchased a digital total dissolved solids (TDS) device and the filtered water has been measuring 2 and 3 TDS, which is very good. The water tastes good to me despite there being no minerals and feels smooth in the mouth. It's nice knowing the water is pretty much as clean and pure as it possibly can be for us and our pets. The extra 3 filters included pushes out the filter buying time to 1 year.Reccomended.

Filters drinking water well, and is quality-made
Easily installed, and silent operation. Water tastes better, and filters out unnecessary chemicals and minerals. Fits well under the kitchen sink, with the parts being well-built.

Great RO system
Installed this RO water filter system in my garage to use for beer brewing. My house is plumbed with a water softener which adds too much sodium to my water. This system filters out solids to a near zero, which is outstanding. My TDS meter read 438 before filtering, and after filtering i have 33ppm solids. Super easy to install, I've added additional water line to mine since I'm not using it in the traditional under sink setup. I added a 14 gallon secondary tank as well. With a full tank, the pressure is about 23PSI out of the faucet. Seems well built and should last years, I expect to change filters about every 2 years because I don't use a lot of water. The push to fit connections are simple and do not leak. The RO system fills the included tank in about 2 hours, which is as described. I like this system enough that I bought a second one to install at work.

Works well, quite a bit of waste water
Overall I am really happy with this RO system. I had initially purchased one from a different company, where the drain wouldn't shut off. That company had zero customer support and I wasted several hours installing it, trying to troubleshoot it myself, complaining to amazon help, and then uninstalling it and returning. This one, the installation was easy. I followed instructions to flush the filters and the tank. Water tastes great. Good value for money and my low income self.I have the waste water draining into buckets and I use the water to do my laundry and to water my non-fruit tree. The only reason for 4 stars is that I am really amazed at how much waste water there would be if I wasn't using it. I get about 4 gallons of waste for every gallon of filtered water. My water was EXTREMELY hard- I had tried another filter that gets all chemicals out, and the minerals were actually making me sick, so it's worth it. I wish there was more awareness about the waste of RO systems and how to be more conscious about using this water. Or it seems like there should be a way to run the water through the filters twice. I just feel there is room for innovation in the water filtration world!
