Quality
Good product. I use it for miscellaneous projects around the house that should ever come up. It's great to have for a go to tool. I used it for syponing the water out of my water fountain outside. I also used it for taking the water out of a clogged sink I had and it worked excellent. I love the fact that it has a mesh at the entrance to prevent any small pebbles from or materials from going in and blocking the blades from going up. I have had a few before from different manufacturers but this item was my best purchase. The suction is excellent I don't know what the problem is with other people saying about the hose and it being fragile? (it's a light weight pump and NOT a sump pump) It's for household and maybe getting gas out of a gas tank but really it's more for miscellaneous uses around the house and if you act and treat it carelessly then you're abusing it. Great item I bought three more for my sons.

Works great***! With an asterisk
This item has good value, functions well, it's a handy size, quite efficient, operates at a good speed (it took about 1:30 minutes to pump 3 gallons out of the can) and has a good capacity! The length is long enough to reach the bottom of a 5 gallon can! However, the can has a filter inside of the spout! That item will have to be removed! However, #2: the pump has a screen inside it's inlet. So, no harm, no foul!

Extremely Dangerous Item
I received this and had time to finally give it a try. The reason for this purchase was to make it easier to transfer fuel from 5 gallon cans, to our mower, 4 wheelers, tractor, and boat. In addition to making it easier, the goal was to reduce the odds of a spill of any kind that can happen using funnels, the hoze that extends out of the can, odds of dropping and human error. I installed that batteries and it turned on and off as expected. Next step was to fill our 4 wheeler by leveraging the pump to transfer the fuel from a 5 gallon fuel can. I attached the clamp to the filler tube and turned on the pump. The clamp did not work and the small amount of force from the pump pushed the hose out of the fill tube spewing fuel all over the garage floor. After cleaning that up, I moved the 4 wheeler outside held on the the pump hose since the clamp is worthless and turned it back on. Everything was going well until I noticed my pants were getting wet. Turns out there is a very small pinhole in the output tube that was acting like a mister against my pants. Luckily no damage was done, however this could have caused fines, loss of property, and or life.

Very handy battery operated (D & AA cells) pump - Definitely a MUST HAVE for your Home & Car
I needed a battery-operated mobile pump for 2 reasons: 1. I recently had an emergency as the garbage disposal unit in the kitchen suddenly stopped working and manually scooping out the dirty kitchen water into a bucket was inefficient 2. I needed a pump to move the fuel from the 5-gallon container into the car. Constantly lifting and holding 5 gallons of anything, is heavy and tiring. I searched among several models of this product design here, but I settled on this one as it has a plastic nozzle & clip which will help while pumping fuel into the car or other containers. While testing it, I was pleasantly surprised that it can even work by using just 2AA batteries (one in each of the adapters that comes with it) instead of 2 D sized batteries. While testing it, I partially filled up a gallon container with water and put it in the kitchen sink, and started the pump. I wanted to see how high it can push the water, and I held the hose up to the highest length up and it was still pumping water up to that height. So that means that I can put the 5-gallon container with the pump on the ground, and it can still pump the fuel up to the height of the fuel intake of the car! ** CAUTION ** The hose on this is very fragile and looks like it can break very easily. So be careful not to kink or twist it. Overall, this is a MUST-HAVE for all CARS & HOMES! Just be careful with the hose as it seems very delicate and fragile. I would have given this 5 stars, but I take back 1 star because the hose seems too fragile. *** URGENT UPDATE *** Since most of these handheld battery-powered pumps work by a screw impeller design, the base of this pump is a bit wider and DOES NOT fit into the mouth of my 5-gallon portable gas tank. So I may be up getting another one that has a thinner base at the bottom so that I can insert it into the gasoline container. Aug 21 2025, I now need to purchase a 3rd one as the switch on the 2d one broke very easily

Product is good and works as expected IF you have common sense.
This pump works very well for my purposes. I needed it to transfer premixed boat fuel into the boat tank so I don't have to lift the 5 gallon containers anymore. It does the job quite well. I have used it about 10 times and the batteries are still strong and it pumps a good volume consistently. I recommend it for such purposes. Of course, for the low cost, it isn't absolutely fool proof with spark arrestor, drain back check valves, super sturdy hose, auto shutoff, etc. But to get a pump certified for petro fuels the price isn't worth it if you just need an occasional few gallons pumped into lawn mower or boat. I'm happy with this given the way I use it and the precautions I apply when I do.

leaks into battery compartment
Used this on my jon boat about 3 or 4 times to pull out rain water - which it did fantastic. On or about the 5th time, it wouldn't turn on - batteries were soaked and metal ground strip was rust covered- mind you, this was within a months time. Changed batteries, clean and dried battery compartment to only have it do it again.... Lesson learned- after use tear it down, dry it out and leave apart until need arises. For the price, works good, BUT disassemble and dry after each use

Portable Pump
Good product at a good price. Easy to use in tight spaces. The only drawback is the number of batteries required.

Great item, especially for motorcyclists who refuel their bikes at home, rather than stopping at a servo, first up.

Really impressed by this little unit, used it to decant 60L worth of sodium hypochlorite into a larger drum from 4x15L drums. Was able to pump 15L in 3 minutes or so at elevation, which is way faster than using an Ezi-pour lid. Clip insured no mess was made, and also adds a layer of safety being able to stand back. Cheap and effective tool that’s handy for a lot of uses, great for my field of work.

The conduction at the back of the battery casing is very bad. I had to do complete the electrical circuit myself for it to work. Quality is very bad, would not recommend.
