Magnet is very strong. Takes some effort to get it apart...which is fine by me. Has not failed once and I snag it often.

This is great. I got frustrated when I had to take my locking carabiner off of my bag just to unlock the door. With this I am able to take it off with one hand and unlock the door, then put it back on my carabiner. So easy and makes life way easier. I’ve never had this “fall off” the magnetic base. I typically have to use a bit of finger strength to get it off and it snaps back pretty quickly when I’m done with it.

This keyring is awesome. I have my chapstick attached to it and to my belt bag so I can easily remove it to put my chapstick on. It would work great for keys also.

Nite Ize has a pretty good product here for the purpose of keeping my wife's keys from getting 'lost' in her purse. With the larger black holder for the magnets she is remembering to hook her keys to the clip on her purse. It is a little difficult for her to do so she remembers. The magnets are not super strong so the twist lock feature is really handy and secure. The magnet/twist lock 'wings' make the quick connector a little large in my opinion. That is the reason for only 4 stars.

These are helpful to keep my keys accessible, but secure during field work. You do need to learn the where to grab and twist to release the magnet, but that has to do with the secure part. An extremely small learning curve to make sure my keys are secure and available one handed is worth it.

its a magnetic carabiner clip. somewhat bulky with the magnetic clasp, but can work if you have normal men's pockets. Seperating the two clips is easy to do with and without gloves. I don't know how long the plastics will last, but it has worked for a few years now. Keyrings on both sides are not that large, but can be replaced with larger if needed. Works as intended as a quick-release mechanism. No other complaints. Buy if needed.

I have lots of keychain gadgets and quick releases, but this one is special. The magnets are very powerful when connected but yet come apart with a twisting motion. The idea is to put regular keys on one end and a key that needs to be by itself, such as a car ignition key, on the other, so they can be easily separated. The price is a bit higher than other quick release gadgets I have, but it is unique. Worth the splurge. Nite Ize makes some cool stuff--I have lots and lots of their plastic carabiners for other things on my key ring.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was worried about buying this but I'm glad I did!!! I have a pretty heavy key load. This design is brilliant though!!! It not only holds by a strong magnet. The design is curved over. So basically it's held by a magnet and hard plastic. I highly doubt this design will fail!!!! I'd post a picture but I would never post pictures of my keys and you shouldn't either!!!

Great to use

Very happy with this keychain. 3 days a week I commute by bus or bike so I don't always need my full set of keys. I put one ring on my bulky as hell car remotes and the other ring on my house/bike keys. The magnet is fairly strong. It comes apart easiest by twisting it using the plastic tabs but you can also pull them apart with straight force. I worried it was not strong enough for the heavy remote side of the keychain but it hasn't been a problem so far. Overall, I am super happy with this product. It fits my needs perfectly.
