Project saver
This module saved my entire project. Before this, we had another GPS module,e but it took an extremely long time to even lock in, even if pointed directly at the sky outside, so I purchased this one and even inside it worked like an absolute miracle. I highly recommend it

Worked well, easy setup.
Quick test in house with steel roof produced a stable result. Bought for a robotics project. The digital reading, as the manufacturer clearly states, is not as accurate as the number of decimal places suggest. Great device for real world positioning of people or vehicles but useless for robotics. That isn't a fault with the device, just wrong application in my case. It was simple to plug in and get working using a separate USB adaptor on a pc.

Although a little expensive it worked straight away
DIYmalls G28U7FTTL GPS Receiver Module 3.3V-5V w/Flash Ceramic Antenna 9600bps 1Hz NMEA-…. I have been working on a little test code for the uBlox GPS modules, so when this module arrived, I just connected it up, pin for pin and, not only did it work straight away, within minutes I had 3 satellites and a good position lock and that was indoors with its own patch antenna. After a further 10 minutes I had 8 satellites and a precision of 100, still indoors and on my desk! Not only do you get this GPS module, but they also give you 3 sets of tails with the connectors. On the end of these tails is either tined wire, Dupont males or Dupont females, a very useful addition that saves a lot of time. When connected to the uBlox software suite, it reports as a NEO7, I was hoping for at least NEO8 especially for this price. The downsides. 👎There is no external antenna connection, and there is nowhere at all where one can be connected. 👎A little expensive. The upsides. 👍Fast acquisition of satellites 👍Sensitive receiver obtaining 8 satellites even indoors in the centre of my home. 👍The addition of the 3 connectors with different tail ends In summary the board is well made, comes with the added 3 sets of connectors, works first time but no external antenna connection, and is a little pricier than my usual modules.

Works great with Arduino. I've only tested inside yet and not near a window (wooden bungalow) and it consistently locks on to about 10 satellites. Reading date, time and location data no problem. Impressed with the time it takes to get a fix.

Con un voltaje de operación de hasta 5V y leds de indicación de funcionamiento y conexión voy a explicaros un poco el uso que le he dado a este módulo de GPS para nuestras aventuras. . El módulo se ofrece soldado a una placa con conector de varios pines y dos leds indicativos. De esta forma es mucho más fácil y sencillo realizar las conexiones a nuestro ordenador, raspberry o placa de desarrollo. Indicándose en todo momento para que sirve cada pin y así evitar malos funcionamiento o dañarlo. . En la parte posterior se ha incluido un pequeña antena de cerámica de buena capacidad, aunque hubiera sido interesante incluir un conector de antena estándar y que pudiéramos utilizar o sacar de la placa la misma a una posición más cómoda. . Todos los componentes presentan muy buena calidad y las soldaduras y conexiones son perfectas. Además de presentar un tamaño compacto y ligero para cualquier uso. Y en la parte del uso que le he dado, he podido crear con ayuda de una placa UNO R3 de Arduino, un rastreador para mi coche de bajo precio. Pudiendo mantener controlada la posición de este en todo momento y con transferencia de la información en tiempo real a través de una pequeña SIM con datos contratados. Y gracias a diversos tutoriales, podemos utilizar la antena GPS para saber la ubicación de al menos 10 satélites en cada zona de visión, asociarlos a una hora exacta y guardar esos datos en texto plano en un archivo de una memoria adicional. Y mediante triangulación y con software de ayuda, generar una ruta de movimiento sobre cualquier mapa online que queramos. También es posible su conexión con un adaptador USB a cualquier PC y después de instalar un driver de control de este, utiliza el protocolo NMEA, acceder a toda la información muy fácilmente. EXCELENTE módulo GPS para nuestros trabajos de electrónica sencilla en casa. Con toda la instalación de este ya realizada y con la ventaja de un muy bajo consumo de voltaje si queremos utilizarlo con baterías.
