Biggest Improvement I’ve Seen for Sleep Onset
Valerian root took my sleep onset time from 1 to 2 hours down to about 20 to 45 minutes. I’m still working on improving it more, but this has been by far the biggest improvement from any supplement I’ve tried for falling asleep. This company makes a solid product and the dosage feels effective. Only downside is the smell, it’s pretty strong, but that’s just how valerian root naturally smells.

It works great and DOES NOT have to SMELL BAD! : )
I’ve been taking valerian root for a long time and feel that it really does help me relax and unwind when I need to … and this particular brand is very effective, easy to swallow, and reasonably priced. However, I know it doesn’t smell very nice and people seem to complain about THAT more than about its effectiveness …. and because they don’t like the smell they won’t even try it. There are definitely advantages to trying it for yourself so here is what I do to fix the “smell problem”. I put a few days worth of the capsules in a little dish and leave it on the vanity in my bedroom out in the open … and when I’m ready to take some they have ”aired out” and have no smell whatsoever. Absolutely none. So if you think you could benefit from taking valerian root, try my trick and air some out, just a few at a time … and stash the bottle out of sight and no one will even notice them. Problem solved.

A legit valerian supplement
A valerian root supplement from a very reputable brand. Seems to contain exactly what it says it does. Valerian has a very distinct smell that cannot be avoided. Valerian root has a mild benzodiazepine-like relaxing and anxiolytic effect. It can also help with sleep.

Aids in Restful Sleep & Reduces Nighttime Hot Flashes
I am very happy with this product! I will say right up front, this smells bad. I take these quicky with at least 8oz of water and immediately wash my hands. While the smell is bad, there is no taste. The four stars is due to the smell, which may not be able to be avoided. This supplement works though. I purchased it to help me sleep and it is very effective. Within 20 to 30 minutes, it calms me and I drift into a peaceful sleep. As an added benefit, it has helped me with night hot flashes due to menopause! I do not suffer any adverse effects. Like any supplement, individual results may vary. Do not take this is you are pregnant or nursing. Check with your healthcare provider to make sure it will not interact with any of your medications.

Works for Anxiety and sleep:)
An alternative for anxiety or sleep issues. 100% effective. 2 to 4 pulls every 6 days Hours if needed or 3 for sleep. 1 hrs. B4 bedtime. I grew up with this is Germany, stationed there. It's a miracle. Smells nasty but works like magic!

It works but the smell is intolerable
First and foremost, IT WORKS GREAT as a sleep aid! BUT…. it smells SO BAD that I almost can’t even take it! I mean it literally makes me want to vomit. I (dry heave, red face, watery eyes) gag every time I just open the bottle. And I have to wash my hands immediately after handling them bc it makes my fingers smell so bad I can’t stand it. I’ve started taking 1-2 caps out of the bottle about an hour before bedtime to let them “air out” and that helps with the smell somewhat. But if I don’t remember to do that, I can’t take them. But, like I said…. It works!

Cured my anxiety
I have an awful job that caused some pretty awful depression which eventually led to panic attacks. My first anxiety attack happened around March. It was in the middle of the night and I felt as if I was going to die. My hands and legs were going numb, my heart was throbbing so hard and I felt like I was about to have my chest burst like in the Alien movie, and I couldn't stop shaking. I was taken to a hospital and was told that physically I was healthy. I had an anxiety attack and it was all in my head. The doctor was a buffoon and dismissed me with 5 pills of alprazolam (generic Xanax) stating that I had this attack because I had 4 cups of coffee that day (which I needed to be able to keep working). So I stopped drinking alcohol, coffee, and everything except for water for 3 weeks, but the attacks continued. Every 2 weeks I had an anxiety attack while at work. I eventually found a psychiatrist who prescribed me venlafaxine. This drug caused extremely severe blurred vision. As someone who works on a computer all day, obviously, this wasn't acceptable. I had other side effects as well such as extreme drowsiness to the point where even depositing cash to a bank was difficult. So I stopped taking it and sought out another psychiatrist. This one gave me escitalopram. This one also caused blurred vision (though not as severe) but also caused erectile dysfunction, constipation, and insomnia to the point where I had 3 hours of sleep within 72 hours. At that point, I refused to see any other psychiatrist and decided to self-medicate which everyone claims is a bad idea but I had no other choice. I bought this product around June and started drinking chamomile tea and taking lemon balm pills as well. It's now October and the last time I took a Valerian pill was over 2 weeks ago. Both psychiatrists that I saw scoffed at it but it did more than the poison they prescribed me and this has no side effects. I haven't had a single anxiety attack since I started taking it in June but I still did feel sometimes "weird" like I felt something was going to happen. In those cases, I just took a pill of this and within 30 minutes, I'd be fine. This does work and I'd recommend this over seeking any "mental health professional" ever. I don't understand why psychiatrists in America aren't willing to look at natural herbs first before prescribing some awful "happy" pills that don't work. Do your research. An anti-depressant only has to pass 2 trials to be approved by the FDA, even if it fails the first 5. Anti-depressants are just as effective as placebos. Seriously, research it. I've always been a man of science and believed in taking prescription pills so no, I'm not into homeopathy or any of that alternative medicine nonsense. But this natural remedy actually works. Seriously, this pack of flowers in a pill for $11 does more than $300 Trintellix.
