As soon as you pick these up, you can feel the balance and quality. They feel good in the hands. For me the balanced weight is ideal. Smooth clean cuts thru fruit and tomatoes. Work well with meats also. I would though recommend a good quality cutting board when using these. There is no reason to push down hard on the board surface because they are razor sharp right out of the packaging. I have used them for a few months now and they hold their edge very well. If I am cutting cooked thicker meat, I will use a couple swipes of a metal honing rod to quickly restore them to perfect edge sharpness before cutting. I am planing on buying a few more types of knives from this company. Also, if you don’t have one yet, I’d recommend a wood block to organize the knives. Very handy when working with different meats, food, and breads.

Great little knives! Super sharp, nice wood handles and very comfortable to use. A great addition to our small collection of better kitchen knives. Making things even sweeter, the outrageously affordable sale price was the icing on the cake. Highly Recommended. Update March 2026: Still extremely sharp after considerable use and regular honing has been all that's necessary to keep them that way. 20 swipes or so on a decent steel after every use has done the job for us, but if all you have is one of those 3-slot, draw through sharpener things, I suggest using only the honing, usually the last, slot to keep them cutting like new. The other slots actually may do more harm than good. This turned out to be a very good set of knives for all sorts of smaller, general utility tasks and we didn't have to spend a lot of money. Makes a great gift too (my sister with the 3-slot, draw through sharpener thought so)! :-)

Very quality product. Very recognized brand name. These knives were very well manufactured. I actually found it a little duller than I thought, don’t get me wrong they were sharp. But appeared to be a little dull chopping vegetables. I took it to my son who has a high-quality sharpener and it did help the blade. Happy with the product, time will tell how long it last so far so good.

Disclosure: MADE IN CHINA Would have referred Germany, Spain, or US, but these are well balanced and sharp. The seem to dull quickly so sharpen frequently.

Great knives, really sharp.

I broke my Henckel paring knife of thirty+ years this past weekend. I knew I wanted another Henckel, and to my great delight, the purchase price was just right and came with a second knife! The shaft of the new paring knife gives the blade a nice heft. Fits my hand nicely! I never put my chef knives in the dishwasher so I can't speak to that. But this blade is sharp and easy to use.
