I didn't expect anything was still available for my old S8 Active (SM-G892A) phone. The battery had been getting bigger, pushing out the back of the phone, separating the back from the front, leaving a gap. If it were to get wet, that would be the end of my phone. I was not going to pay $80 or more for a repair shop to replace my battery. Thankfully, I found this kit which saved me a lot of money! Overall it was an easy process to open the back of the phone and replace the battery. Just a few issues like accidentally breaking the fingerprint sensor cable, which I had to get a new one from eBay for $10. Took a week to get, so I left the back of the phone unglued until I replaced the sensor. The second issue was getting the old battery out without puncturing it. It was firmly glued down which took a lot of heat from the hair dryer and eventually I was able to pry it out. The last issue was using the included perforation (sort of) molded adhesive. I say sort of because it was all one piece and the perforation cut was not easy to separate from the rest of the sheet. I had to use scissors to actually cut it from the rest. BTW the battery is a tad shorter. Use the included double-stick tape to secure it down so it won't move. According to my phone battery information, the battery is the same size at 4000mAh. Even though it is shorter it does have the same Milliamp Hours as the original phone battery.

This kit was complete, easy to use, full instructions.. The battery is performing as advertised. Just take your time and your replacement will go well. I would pay a bit extra if the the screwdriver included was magnetized. The screws that need to be removed are very tiny and easy to take out but hard to put back. Magnetized screw driver would solve this problem. I would recommend this kit for your galaxy s8 active.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Glad I was able to breathe life into a very old phone. This kit makes it easy. May want a better screwdriver though, especially since those screws inside are pretty tight. And if you strip those down then...you're screwed.

Battery life not same as original battery. Instructions say use T7000 glue, not included. Tape in kit lasted about a week, back came loose. Try someone else's kit.

Had everything in the kit but the back cover seal was no good and stuck to the packaging

Rather easy to replace, if you haven't done it before watch a video on youtube. The seal for the back cover is a bit tough but doable. Seems the the seal doesn't quite hold the cover completely.

This kit saved my memories!! My phone suddenly stopped turning on. The phone store employee told me that there was nothing I could do to get my pics back and I had sadly neglected to back them up. This kit was reasonably simple to use and worked like a charm! Highly recommend!!!
