I got my unit from GLAM_AZON who has bricks and mortar store(s) in NJ. the parent company is Electronics Expo. Great to work with! I had a shipping issue and they went above and beyond, by a lot, to make it right. THANK YOU! Now, for the review. The unit was double boxed and securely packed. When I set it up, it was mostly just a matter of plugging in and connecting the line level inputs from my receiver. To get the turning aspects taken care of I played a trailer for the movie Meg 2 which had plenty of explosions and other loud and low sounds so I could hear a variety of things to make sure the response was good across the board. Loaded the SVS Subwoofer Android app, selected movie mode in the menus and hit save. I set the level around 60% and then adjusted the receiver bass and subwoofer level to dial it in while listening to the Meg 2 trailer. When I thought it was about right, watched the actual film. It was a perfect test for this sub, and let me tell you, no disappointment. This is the highest quality audio component I've ever purchased and it really shows. The movie was fantastic and the LFE effects were nothing short of mind blowing. My simple tuning strategy apparently worked excellent because the sub blended seamlessly with the other 5 speakers in my setup, older upper end Polk. Now as far as music goes, didn't have much time to test music but what I did hear sounded very promising. Everything was clear and fast response, and despite being a ported enclosure, not too boomy. Am looking very much forward to turning a preset to work with my typical music which is mostly hard rock and metal. If what I've seen so far is any indication as to the performance I will most likely be beyond happy with the sound. Everything about this unit is confidence inspiring. Not a criticism but an observation, be prepared this thing is GIGANTIC for a 12". Based on my initial impressions, this is a must buy if you only want 1 sub and need to support a larger room. Mine is a 1000 sq ft and this thing didn't break a sweat filling the low end with earth shaking bass you can feel. I'm certainly not an audio equipment geek but am a musician, guitar player, and my ears LOVE the output from this thing. Previously I had a Polk 12 which was only about 150 watts RMS, nothing to write home about. Best decision I ever made in terms of augmenting my audio system.

Coming from a sony ht st 5000 soundbar, the svs pb 2000 pro is a beast. Been spending a few hours tinkering with the settings to get it just right. Sound tested the batman (batmobile scene), Edge of tomorrow, and of course, Top gun maverick! Got it to where the bass doesn't over power the speakers and gives you that Umph! when needed. Next step is to soundproof the basement as much as possible lol

After deciding to replace my Onkyo sub for something of a more depth feel in sound I researched this PB 2000 pro. WOW although this thing is big in the room the difference is unbelievable, well worth the Price (Nottingham Hi Fi via Amazon) The Thuds of the old sub have gone and this SVS sub has smoothed out the levels of audio to a better listening experience. Using the smartphone app for tweaks to set up to the Amp made it easier than trying to get at the back all the time. Black ash grain wood finish is pleasingly to the eye and blends in with the rest of the furniture. Sliding into position is easy on a laminated floor but beware this could be too heavy for some to lift and move alone. 1 negative although minor, the pegs for the cover no doubt would brake if not aligned and over forced, a little washing up liquid on each peg helped me install without to much pressure. Forgot about the price already. Overall not as expensive as some yet does seem pricey for average home cinema set up, it's big enough to hold a lamp not that it's for this, after your eyes and ears focus to the TV its size is nolonger a distraction.

Stunning, clear, punchy, powerful bass out of the box... I have been using a Def Tech Supercube I for years for my theater, and 2x B&W ASW610's for music.. I switch between the two depending on my listening needs, sometimes all 3 if the movie calls for it. The SC 1 is amazing for movies, but is too boomy and in-articulate for music so I use it for that only. The B&Ws have great sound, but are not very powerful. Just don't have that awe factor during music. Sure, jazz and rock are pretty good on those, but they fall short with any bass heavy music. And I wanted to simplify my system. If you don't listen to heavy bass stuff, then B&Ws probably are for you... In comes the PB-2000 Pro. After just one good review after another, and some that said the SVS is just good at everything, they were not kidding... So I had to pick one up. This thing out performs all 3 subs I had, even when they were all on at the same time. It's louder, punchier, deeper, has amazing flexibility on music genres, movies, shows, etc.... It has the subtlety to do jazz, classical, and other non-bass heavy music. It slams when you need it!!! Movies, well not only is it louder and more impactful than the Def Tech, its sound quality really does make a big difference. Explosions go deeper, but somehow sounds better than the Def Tech. The DT can hit hard, you feel it in your chest, but so does this SVS. And it does it with such high quality sound that I was really taken back. I did not expect the deepest frequencies to sound as good as they do from the SVS. I was even thinking about getting 2 of these, but this one sub is so darn impressive that I am going to use that other $1k for bass traps and room treatment. I have yet to really do any fiddling around with the settings either... I have it on the defaults. I will be doing some refinement, but at the moment I am really shocked how good this sub sounds without any calibration and break in (SVS doesn't really believe in that tho). Update: I put up sound panels throughout my entire theater and the bass is nothing short of stunning. The sub has a room correction feature in the DSP that I no longer have to use because I treated the room bass modes. It now sounds even tighter yet can still hit the really low frequencies without sounding overpowering and boomy.
