I love this trash can. I’ve had it for 6+ months and it still makes me smile. I had a cheap, plastic, ugly trash can I purchased from Target years ago that I wanted to replace for the longest time, but couldn’t wrap my mind around spending almost $90 on a fricking trash can. However, this trash can was worth every penny and I would spend even more money for this trash can if needed. Pros - everything. Looks great and works even better. The minimalistic, sleek, smudge-proof design makes storing trash sexy. The step pedal requires very little force, and the lid opens quickly but with restraint. No lid snapping open and striking your walls happening here. There is an inner plastic lining that is removable, making trash bag removal and changing easy. There is a little notch where you slide a small portion of the trash bag into to keep it from slipping and it does just that - no slippage of your trash bag. No reaching down into the doom and gloom of strange odors and textures to wrangle the topmost edge of the bag free when it slips down. The bag ALWAYS stays put. And the trash can blocks odors!!! My kitchen never smells from the trash, even if it’s spoiled food. Cons - nothing. Worth every single penny. I would sell my plasma if needed to get this trash can again. I realize I am now fully adulting to be gushing over something like a trash can, but this was one of my best purchases for the entire year. You will love this trash can.

Really happy with the product. It's sturdy, has a great capacity and I love the slow closing lid. We are using it in the kitchen. It looks really good. Much better than the old plastic!

Not rose gold. I read reviews & it’s more of a light bronze, but that’s why I bought it. I LOVE IT. Great quality & beautiful.

I've had this can since 2020. It seems to be made of good quality stainless steel. The lid, base, and lift mechanism have held up well. Unfortunately, the plastic retainer ring around the top had a tendency to pop out and get jammed up with the bag. Eventually, I just had to cut the ring away as it got extremely annoying, but that left a gap between the lid and can. Also, the lid damper recently rusted through and leaked silicone fluid leaked to the bottom. To address gap problem, I used https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQLCN1SR?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title to create a better, more trouble-free seal around both the lid and the base. I replaced the damper with https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FCCLLX62?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title, which is the closest fit I could find on Amazon. To improve the fit, I used a little double sided table around the outside to hold in the damper. As a final note, the odor absorber is basically useless in my opinion. I'm sure its a good selling point, but it really doesn't do much good.

I purchased this for us in my new kitchen. I have all stainless steel appliances, so the appearance matches well. I have been pleased. It is nicely constructed. I like the removable insert. The lid also works very easily. I did initially find it hard to hold the lid open. However, after an email to the vendor, they explained that one needs to lift up on the lid as it is coming up, before it reaches past about 30-60 degrees open. Then one can pull it back to stay open very easily. If you use the foot pedal to fully open the lid, and then try to push it back to stay, it is very difficult. It comes with an odor-reducing filter which I suppose helps but is hard for me to judge. I have not noticed any odors with the lid closed. All in all, this is a very good product that looks good and functions well. I prefer to use larger trash bags that do not stretch tight around the insert. There is a little clearance around the edge of the insert for the top of the bag to fold over and down for a neat fit. However, I initially had problems getting the edge of the bag to stay put while I lowered the insert into the can. I easily solved this by getting some larger rubber bands. I now fold the top of the bag around the top of the insert, and wrap it with a large rubber band. This holds it in place as I lower the insert. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an attractive, well made garbage can.

This can leans more towards light bronze than rose gold but it is very pretty. It arrived with no scratches or dents like previous reviews stated. The garbage does not smell. I bought the one with the odor control. It works well. I never have to touch the lid to put garbage in. Works like a dream.
