Good replacement, T pipe joint thread was not a good fit, need to get a new one from hardware store to fit. Other than that, it works well.

Handle was a white plastic. Not a polished chrome handle from seller image. Otherwise I would give 5 stars.

Others have shared how difficult it is to prevent this seat from leaking. I had the same issue. Where the l-shaped fitting on the hose meets the seat, it is very easy to cross-thread. I had a nagging leak at the seat and I had to torque down the tightening nut more than any plumbing fixture should ever have to be tightened. I was expecting at any moment for the plastic threads on the seat to snap. If I ever have to remove the seat, I’d likely use pipe dope on the threads on the chrome hose attachment. After fixing the leak, the seat functioned well and it fits the oversized Kohler commode well, although you lose quite a lot of bowl area near the back of the commode. I typically love Kohler products but this one is just mediocre in terms of design and build quality. Not sure I could recommend this seat, but after buying and returning another brand due to poor fit, I went with the Kohler to ensure the seat would fit the larger, elongated bowl of my Kohler commode.

It has been always difficult for me to clean my buttocks since I have limited mobility in my arms. So I have been looking for bidets but they were too expensive and needed an electrical outlet near the toilet, which I don't have. Then, I found this bidet toilet seat at a reasonable price and no-electricity needed. I was a little concern about the cold water and the water pressure. The cold water is not a problem and it is even refreshing. It WORKS GREAT!!!! it really cleans the area . Also, it was very easy to installed and no leaks. My brother installed it for me in less than an hour. I am very happy with this bidet. It was a great buy :-) :-) :-)

I installed this on an American Standard 4149A that has a Moen Brantford flush handle. This particular flush handle sticks out about 1-3/4" from the tank and that's too far for this toilet seat. The hinge for the top is at the very back, near the tank. With this seat installed so that the front is even with the front of the toilet, that's not far enough forward that the lid can be lifted past vertical before making contact with the flush handle so the lid will not stay up. I would have had to move the seat about 1" forward for it to work in my situation, which meant it would be hanging off the front of the toilet. I just changed everything in this half-bath to Moen Brantford so I'm not changing the flush handle. I didn't read about this problem in any other reviews so I didn't think about it. If you're concerned about this, measure straight down from the end of your flush handle then measure forward from the there to the front of your toilet bowl. Compare that to the dimensions of this seat to see if it will work. If your flush handle is on the side of your tank or you have a flush button on the top of the tank, you shouldn't have any problems. Since I do like this seat, I installed in another bathroom that has a flush button on the top of the tank. I had planned to run electricity to that toilet so I could install one with heated water. If that never gets done, at least I have this in there. Installation is very easy. I hand tightened everything then a quarter or half turn more. Nothing leaked anywhere, including at the Fluidmaster fill valve that other have reported having problems with. I did attach the hose to the seat before installing the seat. It does make that part a little easier but if you have working room on that side of the toilet, I don't think it matters if you do this first or not. The seat mount is solid, I had no problems with it. Its also very adjustable so I'm sure it will work as long as you don't run into the problem above. I really do like the M300 but I'm going with 4 stars. My flush handle sticks out a little more than most but its not oddly out there. I think this seat could have been made in a way that it could have worked for me. Kohler, ask your engineers to design this with just a little more flexibility.
