I install security systems and am constantly working on small gauge wire so I figured I would give these a try based on all of the good reviews and more so the fact that they range from 16-26 gauge. After using them a few days, I did really like how sharp they are and how well they cut the wire. The only problem I have with them is that the lock that keeps it from opening will not stay in place after numerous uses. When that lock goes too far open, the wire strippers open too far and then the spring falls out. Really, the lock should have a piece to only go so far, or at least a piece to hold the spring in place. If that would be fixed, then it could be a 5 star wire stripper. I probably would not recommend these to someone who would use these everyday on the job. If that is the case, then try the Kleins which do have a lock stop.

These would have saved me so much time on previous wire stripping tasks. These are awesome and a great value.

Really good quality wire strippers at a great price. Nice addition to the toolbox.
