I have recommended this product to around 3 other techs and all have found them really easy to use and are an amazing value for money. Do your research before buying as there are some complications with not buying an autel based product straight from your local approved dealer.

Lovely bit of kit and at this price point the quality is impressive. The main tablet feels solid and robust and wireless connection is great if you're trying to check things on the move etc. Used it a couple of times now and it's done everything I needed it to do and the menus are simple and clear. The only thing I don't really know, as it's the LTE version, if there are things it won't do, but so far it's done what I've needed very well. Options seem limitless. I've generally used vcds on VAG products in the past but now I've got options with all cars. An absolute bargain

I've always wanted an Autel scan tool, which in case you don't know is probably about as good a bit of scanning software as you can get outside of having access to the very expensive brand specific software / hardware that is licensed to dealerships and some garages, but I've always been reluctant to spend the £600+ required on an Autel tablet. This offers the Autel environment at a price point I can just about justify. It comes with a 2 year license, which doesn't mean it'll stop working after 2 years, just that if you want to continue updating it you'll then have to pay a further subscription (I buy old cars, it's unlikely I'll need to and it'll probably be on a phone app within a few years anyway). The amount you can do with this will vary by brand but generally speaking it is so much more advanced than your OBD/2 scanners. It will probably be able to read every single module on your car and also let you interact with them in various ways, not just read / reset codes or look at what numbers they output. I didn't realise how limited my recently bought £150 reader was till I attached this to my 2002 SLK. The £150 OBD reader had connected to the main engine management module and the ABS / traction control and it could read & reset codes which was handy. But this connects to over a dozen modules, things like the roof, locks, gearbox, lights.. you name it there's a module for it and this can access it. Not only can it read codes but it can also access unused settings, reset, reprogram, initialise and calibrate parts. This won't make me a better mechanic, I'll still lose bolts and break things but I'll at least have a fighting chance of understanding what's wrong and I might even be able to fix a lot of issues without having to resort to my clumsy spanner work. It's also infinitely less hassle and more reliable than going on the forums at any rate! It's a nice looking bit of kit too, though with the small size of it I don't think there's any real requirement for the chunky plastic case it comes with, a fabric sleeve would've sufficed but I'm guessing that's to make you feel a bit more like a hi-tech, rugged mechanic. The tablet itself isn't exactly fast but as you're unlikely to be using this if you're a professional (though I'm sure you could) an extra few seconds waiting for it to do it's stuff isn't going to matter. Shame it doesn't also offer IMMO options, maybe that will come in a future update?

A fantastic piece of equipment from the team at Otofix. At the price point it’s superb for its use. Item and carry holder is great quality. Superb features such as the light torch on the OBD insert is a nice touch! A must have for an avid car mechanic DIY’r or Mechanic by trade. A superb equipment that goes against its competitors extremely well for a fraction of the price.

I opted for the D1 Lite version for cost/value ratio, and it was £50 less than the MK808BT at the time of purchase. It also comes with an extra years warranty vs Autel, which also helped persuade me in decision making. So far, the tool has been very good. It carries out the same functions as the Mk808BT and set up quickly with Autel for technical support etc. It’s much slimmer and appears to be faster compared to my colleagues MK808BT, with the only desirable feature missing would be the rear bracket for the OBD, but I find the built-in torch makes up for the difference. I mainly work on Jaguar Land Rover, and it’s worked on all models I’ve tried so far. I also prefer it’s layout to SDD so it has become my go to tool when working on an older model.

Purchased this tool as a back up to my Snap on machine which was over 5 times the price of this one. i can honestly say i now use this more. Its is really straightforward to use and has all the options i need like the ability to do dpf regenerations and read live data, read diagnostic codes, code injectors. I really am impressed with what it can do for the price. The free 2 year software updates are a bonus as a 1 year update with my current machine cost more than what i payed for this.And the software is actually Autel not some never heard of software. I have not found a car yet that is not covered in the software. Overall really impressed.

Parfait, une bonne tablette simple à utiliser avec bonne prise en main. Menu est en Français après un changement dans les paramètres, j’ai aimé le prix avec vci sans fil qui est de très bonne qualité avec en plus le menu Autel qui est très bien. J’ai réussi à remettre en route mon système Adblue avec reset apprentissage remplissage parfait.

This scan tool is very user friendly, and has everything you will need to quickly diagnose a vehicle. Not long ago, this same style scanner would have cost thousands of dollars. This scanner is lightweight, touch screen, Bluetooth, WiFi updated, and even has a carry case. The processing speed of the tablet is good, and I feel is adequate for its size. I am satisfied with the diagnostics tools for battery reset, Brake Bleeding, and other normal service procedures. This tool is perfect for the DIY mechanic, or intermediate level technicians. The next step from here in my opinion is a very expensive thousand dollar scanner. Great product.

When it comes to ease of use Otofix by Autel is second to none. It has a Bluetooth ODBII port adapter meaning you can scan/diagnose problems outside the car instead of having a cable attached that limits your movement. There's a huge amount of manufacturers to choose from so finding your car shouldn't be an issue. It is easy to read codes, erase codes, access live data, and record live travel data. There's even a demo mode that you can explore to get to know the functions of the programs without risk of messing anything up on your car. I bought this because my car is starting to show signs of a potential misfire but isn't throwing any codes so the Otofix D1 lite is key to figuring out the issues and I now don't have to go to anyone else. This scan tool works amazingly well and is a very powerful and essential tool to have for any shop mechanic or even DIY at home.

Cette valise de chez OTOFIX me permet de faire des diagnostics poussés sans devoir avoir une valise pour chaque marque. Cette tablette et son dongle se branchant sur la prise OBDII du véhicule, ne prennent vraiment pas beaucoup de place dans l'atelier. La tablette se met a jour via Wifi ou RJ45 grâce à l'adaptateur fourni. La mise à jour est valable 2 ans gratuitement. Cela permet de télécharger des mises à jour concernant des véhicules neufs sorti après la tablette. Il y a une durée de vie importante grâce à ces mises à jour. Pour le moment j'ai réussi à dépanner avec succès une BMW série 1 de 2009, une Mazda MX5 de 2006 et une zoé de chez Renault grâce a la D1 Lite. Ce qui n'était pas possible avec les petits boitiers OBDII. La D1 Lite accède aux calculateurs d'ABS, d'habitacle, BMS de batterie de traction et moteur sans difficultés. une très grosse partie se synchronise de manière automatique. Ne pas hésiter à mettre à jour la Tablette et le Dongle OBDII avant la première utilisation. Toute la procédure de mise à jour est bien expliquée par la tablette elle même. Je recommande pour une utilisation occasionnelle mais pour qui cherche des infos poussée grâce au diag.
