I purchased this because I live in a dry climate and use a cpap machine. This product is very helpful when my nose gets very dry. Easy to apply and does a great job healing the dry patches.

This stuff is amazing. My nostrils have been so dry, but after just one use, they feel so much better.

As per the title, the gel is LOT easier for someone like me with whatever sinus problems I have to use than a saline spray--never have gotten the trick of sniffing to inhale right as I spray medication in there and usually wind up hacking it right back out again. But either I'm so accustomed to dry sinuses that I don't know what a healthy amount of moisture feels like, or that same gel feels SO much more "wet" at the end of my nose than what's normal that, even though there's no actual dripping involved, it makes me feel like I have a runny nose to clean up. So there's the mental struggle to leave this in place long enough to let it do its work. No unpleasant smells to speak of... not until I overdid the amount of gel around one nostril, at which point I got a sharp scent of something that can only be described as "medical." So there is something in there that causes unpleasant odors, you're just not likely expected to use enough of it to notice. The tricky part about trying this out is that it's one of those products that you buy when you need it, but sometimes the symptoms have largely cleared up by the time it arrives. While I could give the above points it might be awhile even with my chronic allergies to see how it stands up to its description about taking care of crusty mucus and nosebleeds, both of which are my more typical problems when I'm blowing and wiping my nose entirely too much.

It keeps nostrils moist and cool when apply after nostril hair removal.

Not effective for the dryness.
