Great for your PC too
If you own an xbox, the choice here is fairly obvious. There isn't much to say other than if you don't have a wireless controller already, get one. If you only own a PC however, or play games on your PC as well as your 360 like I do, then things get a little more interesting.I wholeheartedly recommend using a 360 controller in combination with the Xbox Wireless Receiver for Windows. The range on this thing is great and goes through walls. You can tuck the receiver behind your monitor, under your desk, or in a drawer and you'll get perfect reception. The support for this controller is excellent in all applications I've tried, the drivers are minimal, and the controller even turns itself off after not being used for a while to save battery life. In a Games For Windows title, all buttons automatically work like they would on the 360, no muss, no fuss. Hitting the Guide button even pops up the Windows Live overlay if you're playing a game that supports it like Fallout 3 or GTA 4 (normally the Guide button just gives you a summary of your battery life). It is also possible to install a third party profiler app that lets you bind keystrokes and mouse movements to the controller, like XPadder (free). This lets me play a movie on my PC, and then sit on the couch and use the controller play/pause/ff/rewind,etc. I've had zero problems using this controller with xpadder. If you like emulating old games on your pc (nes/snes/n64/etc), the large number of buttons lets you map the controller to pretty much any retro console controller you can think of.As for the merits of the controller itself, there are plenty of reviews here that praise its comfort, feel, and reliability, and revile the D-Pad, so I won't go over any of that.Summary:+ Most comfortable and reliable controller I've used.+ Wireless, great range, good price on amazon.+ Good battery life and auto-shutoff feature.+ Great game & app support with little to no headaches or installs.- D-Pad is nearly useless, but there are few games where this makes a difference, like fighting games.- It can be hard to find the proper wireless receiver driver if you are running 64-bit Vista, but its out there if you search hard enough.edit:Works flawlessly in Windows 7 x64 without having to hunt down the driver! The D-Pad can be improved by following these instructions: [...] I tried it on one of my controllers and can verify it works great and feels much better, but be careful, and remember that you'll be voiding your warranty and can damage your controller.

Sturdy & Durable, & Makes a Great Gift
I've owned this for several years now and I am on my fifth controller. I bought 5 because I gave one to my brother to use with his PC, which is an added bonus. With the purchase of a Microsoft transmitter, you can use this game controller to play games on your PC.Pros:1) Durable and sturdy. I used mine for two years several times a week and it still works with little signs of wear and tear.2) Works well on PC with an additional $10 dongle made by Microsoft.3) Customizable with several accessories and battery packs.Cons:1) Using it with your PC depends largely on whether games support the controller or not. It would have been nice if Microsoft released a program to customize the pad for PC use.2) The controller easily collects dirt and grime, but that's probably from over use. It's very visible especially on the white controller but it is also very easy to clean. I think there are also plastic sleeves and covers to avoid this problem. Personally I do not own one of those.Great and sturdy controller.

Standard Xbox Controller - which means typical mass produced issues
We ordered this second controller because our console only came with one, of course. The only difference between this one and the one that comes in the box is the color. That being said, after a day or two of normal play, you could already feel the plastic parts inside starting to wear. You would think they would make these controllers a little more robust for extended game play but then we wouldn't have to buy another so soon. Can't say I recommend it but it is the standard controller. We've also had Nintendo consoles (64 and Game Cube) and their controllers seemed to be better quality. Also, the rechargeable battery accessory is a must - this thing ate the first set of batteries in one day. For all the wireless hype, we ended up plugging the controllers in anyway.

Truly an excellent product
Let me keep this short, sweet, and to the point: if you're debating whether or not to buy this controller, buy it. It's MUCH better than the third-party xbox 360 controllers, and is worth the extra bucks; in fact, it's much cheaper to buy it on amazon than in stores (it's $35 or 36 on amazon most of the time, as opposed to $50 in stores). I bought this controller to replace an afterglow wired controller I bought. Though the afterglow was cool at first, it got old fast, and in fact it started giving me trouble with control stick glitching. It got so bad I was losing online matches just because the controller made me stutter when walking! Anyhow, there really are no cons to this controller. It operates as claimed, gives no problems, and has GREAT feel in your hands when you play (I find Wii controllers to be too awkward for my huge hands). Pay the few extra bucks for this controller; it's a smart investment in the long run. Take it from the guy who got duped on a third-party controller!

Great condition no complaints
The controller came in very good condition as advertised and it works perfectly. The sticks feel almost brand new as well as the other buttons. The controller was only shipped in a paper mailer so I feel it could have been damaged if it wasn’t handled properly in shipping but it wasn’t. So other than that no complaints.
