110 pack 200cc oxygen absorbers

I spent many many hours over many days doing AI research when I went into doing my own long term food storage. What I learned was that Oxygen was the #1 problem over bulk storage meant to last for years. I thought moisture would be the big issue, but I was wrong. Food going rancid is the problem with multi-year storage. This prevents that. An oxygen free environment also prevents mold and mildew from being able to grow, which means moisture isn't as big an issue. The entire trick is a air tight seal with food grade O2 absorbers. These are not meant for things that will be continuously opened and closed, as these need used as soon as they are opened. They begin working right away and have a limit to how much O2 they can absorb. Therefore, them being vacuum packaged in groups of 10 made it extremely convenient. Also, each group of 10 has a pink-dot piece in it that will turn purple when exposed to air. Therefore, you know those 10 are still active and ready to use as long as that dot is pink. The 500cc is huge for most usages. In most things I was sealing, Just 1 exceeded what was minimally needed. Even a 5 gallon bucket of rice only had a very high-end recommendation of 4. These work via iron dust. There is some moisture in them to get the iron activated, which means it is not recommended to use them with silica gel, as the silica may pull the needed moisture from these, which will keep them from working as well. These are high quality, durable, and pull a vacuum on everything I used them in. The vacuum is the key. You need an air tight container to pull that vacuum and create a good seal. Once the Oxygen is used up in the container, the vacuum is created and it will be good to go for however long you need.

i use these all the time for my freeze dryer. The package is very thick so they wont rip and feel real strong. They have a mild smell but it passes fast. they are pretty easy to use due to the size.
