I wanted it to be his designated potty space, so I can put down a puppy pad and lock the doggy door until he potties (he is very stubborn and would rather urinate 2 feet away from the pad rather than on it), and when he gets older he can enter and exit freely through the door. However, it is a lot larger than a 22x22 puppy pad and he still will take a dump next to it to show me who's boss. I will probably get a washable pad to cover the remaining surface area. I also added a litter genie inside for easy disposal of soiled pads. Overall, good quality and very sturdy thick plastic, I don't think even a bigger dog could knock it around. (PS, he did eventually figure out the doggy door :))

Over all the create that i have brought in the past, so far i'd say this is the best one for my little 5lb chihuahua! He is so used to the tiny doggy door that he is great with it. He loves his little create its becoming his little safe zone area. It also makes potty training less work and less mess. Its really easy to assemble/fold. If you have a puppy that will grow big, i don't recommend it bc the crate is not sturdy enough to handle big dogs. The price is a little high for it, but then you don't have to worry about that your puppy hands are going to get caught in it or scratches, cut, etc. The pen is safe and easy to use. I will buy it again in the future!

I bought this for my 3.3lb poodle puppy. He goes in there whenever we are leaving him home alone. I hate the thought of keeping him in his small cage and this gives him room to move around, lay down, eat, stand, etc. The weight of it is very lightweight. It is definitely a value for money and I am so happy with this purchase. It was very easy to assemble. The item is of high quality. It has held up great and the performance of it is top notch. I rectthis product for your puppy too!

Sets up in seconds and very durable. You won’t regret this. Love the little door giving our shih tzu independence to come and go during the day, and lock for his nighttime safety when our eyes can’t be on him.

Excellent item, works great for my dog

I adopted three adult cats from the rescue and I needed something to keep their food and water in that my 80 lbs dog could not get into and eat their food. After spending what seems like hours looking I stumbled upon this gate set-up and it is working perfectly, I did take the door off as we didn't need to use it and my dog can't get his big head in it. The cats love their playpen and it keeps their food and water available for them instead of the dog. We are obviously not using it for its intended purpose, but it is working for what we needed so I give it 5 stars. It was super easy to unfold and put together, it is super light weight, as I do move it when I sweep.

This item arrived promptly and was not damaged upon delivery inspection. It was easy to assemble and met my immediate needs for containing my 5 lb. Yorkie while I am running errands and at work. I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment so space is limited and this worked well space wise. It is high enough and sturdy enough that she does not jump out or push it over. The pet door allows her to go in and out of the pet yard at her choosing or I can lock the pet door when I need to keep her contained. I will be purchasing the extension piece to give to give her extra space. The extension piece arrived before the stated delivery date and was undamaged upon delivery inspection. It was easy to attach to the existing pet yard with no tools required. This now gives her more space when I need to keep her contained while running errands or at work. I have her bed, potty pad and toy container inside the play yard and she still has room to walk around. She and I are happy with the purchase.

I bought an eight panel and a separate four panel play yard for my Shih Tzu and he loves both of them. I keep the small one in my office and the large one in the living room. He is an inside dog so he has plenty of special places to go to. The doggie doors are awesome.
