This is a very good blade for the money. I sanded off and blacked out country of origin as I didn't want to see it. The snake was fine for me. The sheath was OK, except the snap closer is too short, although it does work if you move the handle to thinnest part. I always smooth the rough cut blade bevel. This machete was sharp, except the last half inch of the cut, but that part is not used so it does not matter much. Box was damaged in shipment and of coarse it was on the pointy end. The blade was OK, thank goodness. This is worth the money.

Excellent design
The full handle is an excellent safety feature.The machete is so good,I bought a second one as a gift for a friend

Good for the price but has a couple flaws.
It came out of the box sharp, I went straight to cutting new growth of limbs and wild grape vines. Did great with every swing but the saw blade not so well the saw was made to poorly. I like the length of the blade,but the handle isent perfect.its hard plastic couldn't get that good grip on it and the bolts that hold the handle together started to get loose but lock tight did the trick.over all I do like it

blade snapped on first real use.
I bought this in november and it has been hanging on its nail most of the time. i took it out today to cut some brush and the blade snapped in half about 2 inches above the handle. Do not buy this if you want a good machete. Of course it only has a 30 day warenty.
