if you purchase this item and I recommend you should, make sure you screw it to a substantial backing board as airgun pellets tear through this wood with ease and blow the rear of these targets out. They also make a BIG bang so make sure pets are out of harm's way and you inform your neighbours there may be some explosions going off.

Bought these to shoot at our airgun range as you can't seem to get the Firebird exploding targets anymore?These are not as good, but they are more challenging to hit as they are quite small about 6-7mm. When you do hit them they have a small bang, sometimes they don't go bang, sometimes the other targets fall out. (They are held in a thick card like sheet).Compared to the firebird targets, the bang in the Ares ones is not as loud and there is less smoke, so not as good IMHO.As the title said, dissapointing.

Quite honestly these are not as bad as some reviews on here suggest. I hit the first 3 within 7 shots. The explosive part is about the same size as a 22 pellet so it is a challenge !!They are almost as loud as a blank cartridge. Your air gun will have to be perfectly sighted. You shooting skills will have to be as good as being able to put a pellet in the hole of a previous shot. I should be able to get a bit more use from this target because the ones I have shot I have now replaced with hilti cartridges :-)

They certaily do.Quite a big bang. Dont scare your neighbours!

I bought these targets to practice shooting with my young nephew ,and it made it far more interesting than the usual paper ones .

Don’t wast your money on them. Thay go pop. Hitting a tin can makes more noise.
