Learn Power BI: A comprehensive, step-by-step guide for beginners to learn real-world business intelligence

Best Beginner's book I've found, and I'm a college professor.
It's a great beginner's book. I taught PowerBI and Power Query at our local Community College last spring, and this book literally saved the course for the students. Students didn't use this book, but a textbook selected by the college. Thanks to this book, that textbook (eBook) was full of errors I could correct the errors in class. If you know Excel (the basic source of information for the class) and want to grow your knowledge, I highly recommend this book.

Good introduction to PBI!
I picked up this as a eBook when I was first introduced to PBI, needing to get up to speed for a work project. Found the book well organized. The Summary, Questions and Further Reading at the end of each chapter were most helpful.Since then I've learned what an asset Greg Deckler is to the PBI community. Would highly recommend his book, "The Definitive Guide to Power Query (M), as well as (coauthor) Rick de Groot's YouTube channel. Learning M code will take your PBI knowledge to the next level!

Acurracy in New 2nd edition
This edition follows the latest updates from Power BI DesktopWith first edition I get hard times to follow the software until chapter 5, when even try to follow the latest updates make impossible to continues the taskThis second edition solves everything until page 63... I'm pretty sure that frow this page 'til the end I won't found any problem.Highly recomendedBy the way, the book Is printed in plain black and white... And although you can download any screenshoot un color PDF from GitHub.. Is so sad buying a book without coloured printed.

It's ok but a lot of inaccuracies
First, for a book about visualization software, it should be printed in color, not black and white. It's really doing a disservice to especially beginners. I've used Power BI before and several other BI products, but bought this book because I'm self taught and thought it may teach me things I didn't know. It has done that but right off the bat, when explaining the different views, it is wrong. It continuously says "Data view" but when you hover over what he calls "Data view" it says "Table view." Sure, I know what he means, but if you have someone that doesn't grasp that kind of thing, they're going to be looking forever. It's an ok book but I don't think I'd recommend it.

Better than Power BI for Dummies
Just getting started and I jumped into Chapter 3 with building data and visualization. Outstanding, well written and easy to follow. I really enjoy the additional comments helping the user to understand the why behind the step or why Power BI does it a certain way.

Some terminology and notation is outdated, but you can still deduct it and learn from it.
