Smells great, cleans and is cruelty free? Say less!
This is my new favorite laundry detergent. I use two capfuls in a giant load and everything comes out so clean. I also love the scent.

Best detergent ever!
I am *obsessed* with this detergent. 1) The smell??? Oh em gee. Intoxicating. It’s the epitome of fresh linen. No other detergent compares. 2) It’s non-toxic! Healthy for my family. I’ve noticed a decrease in allergies, illness, & skin issues since switching to this brand. 3) It cleans so well! Excellent at doing its job. I will note that I noticed an increase in product effectiveness when paired with a laundry booster. I use the Active brand enzyme laundry booster + borax + baking soda (all non toxic boosters to help your detergent work better), and WOW! An amazing quartet of products. Highly recommend!!!

Excellent product, good science, could be less wasteful
This worked very well for us (old top loading washer). I didn't put it through any scientific tests or need to deal with serious stains. It's easy to use, just pump once or twice, and it's fragrance-free (I think they sell scented versions as well). I like how committed to science and reality Puracy is, particularly how they stood up to the EWG and their binary neurotic approach to ingredients as mundane as borax, which is completely safe as a <1% ingredient in a laundry detergent. As long as you don't add Puracy to your cereal every morning for the rest of your life, you're good (and probably even if you do...) Seeing actual surfactants in Puracy's ingredients won me over compared to Molly's Laundry Powder, which has none. Molly's only has washing soda, baking soda, Epsom salt, and table salt. I don't know what dark magic Molly's has unlocked there, and it seemed fine when I tried it, but I had no stains to test it on, and I just couldn't get around the lack of surfactants/detergents, the potential long-term accrual of grease/skin oil on clothes due to Molly's not removing it, and any future stain drama where real detergent is needed. I also like that Puracy has enzymes, including lipase, which is less common. (Though I'm confused by stuff Puracy has said about the enzymes needing 15+ minutes to kick in – do they get that amount of time in a typical washing machine's wash cycle, before the rinsing starts? Seems like it's over by then, or almost.) My only complaint is that the pump bottle design wastes some of the product, since it will leave some on the bottom, un-pumpable. I like to flip bottles near their end-of-life to get all the product out. It's not a huge thing, and I guess it's less of a problem if you buy refill jugs and keep refilling – I assume they sell refills.

Doesn't Irritate Sensitive Skin for Adults and Children (Update: packaging issues with pump and leaky bottles)
My child and husband have sensitive skin so I try to buy detergents that aren't loaded with too many chemicals or fragrances. This is the second bottle I've purchased. It seems to clean pretty well in our Bosch front loader. Our clothes came out clean and did not smell of any fragrances. The only stain it could not remove were my toddler's poop stained onesies that were prewashed by hand. The only other thing I did not like was the pump dispenser. It worked for the first few pumps but stopped working. I had an empty California Baby Body Wash pump dispenser so I transferred the liquid detergent to that bottle and threw out the Puracy bottle. I haven't used the second bottle yet but I'm hoping the first bottle was just a random defect. I've been reading that some of the Free & Clear detergents from the big brands still contain a lot of harmful chemicals. Overall, I like this detergent because it doesn't seem to irritate my husband and child's skin and cleans well. UPDATE (4/4/16): The company contacted me about the pump dispense and promptly sent me a new pump which was greatly appreciated. With the second bottle, the pump seemed fine except I constantly found detergent all over top of the dryer where I keep the bottle. I chalked it up to other members of my household possible knocking over the bottle but it did seem odd. I recently bought a 3rd bottle and low and behold, I find the bottle sitting in a small puddle of liquid detergent again after only a week. I thought either it's dripping from the pump nozzle or from the bottom of the bottle. This time, I was pretty certain no one had knocked it over as it's only been a week since I used the detergent and I've been keeping an eye to make sure it hasn't been knocked over or moved. It's kept high out of reach of little ones. I wrapped the bottom of the bottle with saran wrap. After a couple of hours, I picked up the bottle and noticed detergent coming up from the top of the saran wrap which indictated to me that it must be a slow leak coming from the bottom of the bottle. At this point, I need to find an empty bottle to transfer the laundry detergent to because I can't keep dealing with small puddles of liquid detergent. After I'm done with this bottle, I am going to consider trying something else. I like the product but I've had too many issues with the packaging.

WHOA! Concentrated, Effective, and Gentle
I was a bit skeptical; there are a bunch of bad reviews out there. I do think there was an old formula, which might have been what lead to those. After using All Free & Clear and Woolite Dark (as needed), I'm truly impressed, especially given I have only so-so front-load washers in a laundry room. They're allegedly H.E. Factors I was looking at: -Super sensitive skin -Cleaning power at recommended 1-2 pumps -Cleaning power for hand washing -No oil spots after a wash -Color protection (based on dye on Shout Color Catchers) -Safe for designer clothes with non-standard materials like neoprene Across the board, it's blown me away! Seriously, 1 little pump does handle most loads I do (full pop-up hamper). I've done 1.5 if its full and contains a bunch of gym gear. If you have a larger top-load machine, I can see two pumps getting used; I just don't have a machine that size. For hand washing, in a mostly-full wash basin, half a pump is PLENTY. One pump had me rinsing way more than needed. Colors don't seem to bleed much, whether dark denim or another heavy dye. I have Lululemon shorts with a liner the did cause me to break out occasionally, and that's stopped now. Lastly, it's been great on uncommon designer materials... from heavy cottons (that hold sweat), to neoprene (that holds everything), to delicate acid-worn jersey and voile. Bonus: per load, it's CHEAPER than many other detergents!

Works in HE washers
Puracy is a great value in many ways. No more overly strong smells and very concentrated so less space is needed. Four pumps for a full load and it removes the dirt. Clean ingredients.

Incredible Results – A Must-Have for Stain Removal!
This product truly delivers! It’s completely removed tough stains like oil (from salad dressing), blood, and even rust from my white dress Burberry shirt. As an architect and real estate broker, I need to look sharp for client meetings, but I’m also frequently onsite at active construction projects—so stains happen. I only wish I had discovered this sooner. It could have saved so many high-end pieces I sadly tossed, thinking the stains were permanent. What really impressed me is how effectively it removes stains without damaging the fabric or fading the colors. I’ve used it on Burberry, Gucci, Valentino, and Christian Dior items, and every time they’ve come out looking brand new. Even a blood stain on a white Burberry dress shirt disappeared completely! Incredible Results – A Must-Have for Stain Removal! Highly recommend—this product is a game changer. A+ I’ve also recently purchased their detergent and love the way it smells, it’s minimal packaging and refillable pump.

Not a clean product
This is a green washed product. If I could give less of a rating I would. If you have any reactions from synthetic fragrances I highly advise against using this product. I used it thinking it was safe for me because they advertise it contains no synthetic fragrances, which I have reactions to. It not only ruined my load of towels, but it threw me into the worse asthma attack I've had in years and I was left with a massive migraine. I tried all day to get the awful strong fragrance of this out of my towels, washer and out of my house with still no luck, all the while reacting to it. It's awful. I examined the label and in tiny writing, it says it contains fragrance allergens, which of course, they don't mention when you read the details about it on Amazon. The same label boasts, in larger writing, of course, that it contains no fragrances, leading you to believe it contains no fragrance allergens. Pretty sneaky and dangerous for those of us that it can give us adverse reactions. Save yourself the trouble and your health and find an alternative to traditional detergents that are actually clean, because this one is not.
