This impression kit was purchased for my dog who just passed. We set the date for him, told the kids that our beloved dog, is going to say good-bye. Despite it being such a sad time, we gathered together for this craft. Together, we chose a picture, and then picked up our senior dog, wet his paw and dipped it into the molding. it took 3 tries, because it was difficult to gauge how much pressure I should use. and on top of that, there was dirt under his nails. Definitely make sure the paw is free of any debris, because it will get stuck in the molding. It's easy to clean off, I just ran it under some cold water and re-squeezed the clay. the third time was the charm and now we have a cute little memory - it's easy to use, great for kids. The kit comes with all necessary materials- ruler, clay, frame. great size

Really nice kit! Would be a wonderful gift for a pet lover. It comes with everything you need including the little roller, ruler, adhesive and clear, simple instructions. My 16 year old, beloved dog had CKD for years & remained stable and healthy. She suddenly crashed into kidney failure & despite a stay in the vet hospital trying to stabilize her, she didn’t recover. I brought her home to enjoy her limited time & we made this on her last night. I know they do them for you when you cremate your pet, but I really wanted this memory of having done this together, holding her weak body & talking to her while we did it. Recommend this for anyone with pets—it would also be wonderful while the dog is a puppy to look back at how small they once were. RIP Kisses, 9/21/09 - 12/31/25

Lovely study frame.

The instructions were very easy to follow. The clay is also forgivable. We had to re-do my dogs paw print three different times with the same clay, but he last one turned out perfectly. For reference I have a 65lbs standard sized labradoodle (big girl). And there is enough clay to fit her paw. The only reason it is getting 4/5 stars is because it is taking forever to dry. I am on day three, and it is still somewhat soft to the touch, especially on the back. I decided to peel it off the tinfoil and put it on the tree and hopes that the air being able to get to both sides will help dry it out. Also, the circular cut out for the clay is huge, and I don’t think the clay is thick enough if you were to roll it out wide enough to include all of the clay in the circle cut out. That is why ours is more of an organic shape lol. Other than that, it was very easy to use and turned out cute.

Easy to use, I made a keepsake because my dog is getting older and I want to have a good keepsake with his paw print and nose print. I was able to make both.

I got this at a time that was very difficult for all of us who love our pets to no end. I was able to take a great print of my little buddy's paw the morning that was our last time together. The frame is of good quality, has a simple, nice color and design, and most importantly, provides a lasting memento of a very important family member in my life. The instructions were clear and the tools for making the imprint were helpful. I miss my Norman every day, but I am glad that when I can bear to look at something from him, I have this item.

I wish I didn't have to write this review, because it unfortunately means that I have really lost my best friend of 14 1/2 years. But that is no fault of the manufacturer, of course. As sad as the whole situation has been, this framed paw kit has actually helped a lot in the mourning process, and it has become a treasured memory of my dearly departed dog. I miss him so much, but having this small part of him makes me smile. The "clay" it comes with actually dries to more of a foam consistency and strangely smells very nice. Using it was easy enough and it created a beautiful cast of my dog's paw with no sticking to fur or clay left behind. This was actually a big concern for us, too, as he was a long haired breed. Assembly was very easy, and the final product is simple but beautiful. It would fit in well with any aesthetic. I'm not happy with the circumstances around why I had to buy this, but I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Of all our dogs, the last one was a love. He was so good and loved us as much as we loved him. Was careful of everything. The only thing we had to teach him was not to pee in the house. And that was easy. Unfortunately, soon after adopting him we found out he had a heart murmur and slightly enlarged heart. 7 years forward, we went for yearly shots. Vet showed us an x-ray and his heart was so enlarged you could not see his trachea and there was more. Vet said he had maybe the weekend. It was difficult, but for him the best was to say goodbye. We have kept his ashes (along with our previous wonderful pooch) to go into our burial vault with us and got this frame to save his pawprint and a picture. It is so lovely to have this remembrance photo and paw print in our office. We did not do the print ourselves as that was the day we decided and I stayed to be with him and then came back with the frame etc, and the vet's office did for us. The vet shared that the print was done after and then the cremation. It is really lovely and a brings back great memories.

Our older cat was very sick and it was getting close to the time we had to say goodbye so I purchased this so we could put his paw print up on our tree and wall. Great way to save the memories.

Great keep sake! Got this as a keepsake for my 19 year old cat. It is great quality and easy to do. I definitely recommend this and have ordered more for my friends as well.

if I could write the zero stars, I would. this is the worst item i have ever purchased. it is not clay, its like liquid styrofoam. the paw kept getting stuck to the product and then would stick to our hands. such a mess. do not buy.

Good quality kit. Purchased this when I knew my senior dog had limited time left. Item was packaged well, had no damage or imperfections, and made for a beautiful memory of my girl. 100% recommend this kit.
