It's great while it works.
UPDATE 01/06/2019: Before packing the cartridge, I decided to try it once again, for a good measure... and it works. I have no idea why, or what could have happened. Well, at the very least, I know that the manufacturer stands behind their product. Combine that with the build quality, and with how lacking the competition is (I tried other products myself -- they are really bad), this deserves five stars. UPDATE 01/04/2019: They called just a few hours later, and told me to ship the cartridge back to them, and if it's indeed the laser, they'll replace it for free! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've been using laser ammo for just over a year now, and it worked perfectly. Specifically, it is very well-aligned with the bore axis, and the shots are reliable, reproducible, and reflected what I was getting at the range very well. The craftsmanship, fit and finish of the cartridge, the box, and all auxiliary items are outstanding. However, when I took it out for another training session recently, it just wouldn't work -- at all. Nothing changed in the way it was stored (original case). Overall, I used it maybe 10-20 times total at about 10-100 shots per session. I attempted the troubleshooting steps, outlined in the official guide, and established that the batteries produced an optimal voltage (4.5V), while the laser appears to be defective according to these tests. Still, I bought new batteries, but this predictably did not help. It pains me to give this product one star -- but hey, one should expect more than a year of sporadic use for a $150 laser. As of 01/04/2019, I called Laser Ammo, and left them a message. I'll update the review if/when I hear back from them.

Safer and Potentially More Accurate Than The Competitors' Products (IMO)
IMO this is the best laser kit for semi-auto handguns. It has adapters for 3 calibers, 9mm, 40 S&W, and 45. With the other laser ammo you have to buy a new cartridge for each caliber. It also has an important safety feature. The advantage of laser ammo is that you can carry around the house and practice quick draw, plink at various objects, and do target practice in a favorite spot. (I like the Impulse USA "Tactical Training Target" for $30 on Amazon.) You learn sighting, trigger control, or point-and-shoot at a much faster rate than you could possibly learn by going to the range. There are two problems. 1) What happens if you make a mistake, and instead of having a laser cartridge in the chamber, you have a live round in there? There goes your wife's favorite lamp (plus the wall). 2) What happens if you deliberately insert a clip, and put the gun in the safe next to the bed for self defense, but you forget to remove the laser cartridge? The laser cartridge does not have an extractor rim. So if you need to use the weapon, you pull the trigger and all you get is a red light. Then you rack the slide and the laser does not extract, so the next round jams trying to feed. 3) What happens of your chamber is a little loose for the laser cartridge? Basically your shots are not accurate. The Laser Ammo kit solves all three problems. When you install it, it has a red knob coming out of the barrel so you know you have the laser and not a live round in the chamber. If you want to load live ammo, you are reminded to remove the laser cartridge. And the long extension makes sure that the laser is not wobbling around in the chamber, so it is more reliably accurate. So it is both *much* safer, and more accurate. What more can you ask? The little pack it comes in is really nice. It looks like it is just a display case, but it is zipped *backwards,* so you have to unzip it with the zipper pull on the wrong side. But then you can flip it over and re-zip and it makes a 5" by 4" high-quality zipped container that keeps all the pieces from getting lost. I *did not* receive a free kit for this review. Great System! Horrible Seller!
Pros: This is a great product and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a good dry fire system. I believe it is more versatile than the other dry fire laser systems out there. I tested the Laser Ammo products at a conference and decided that I was going to buy their products when I bought a dry fire system. I also tried the Laserlyte system before making my purchase and believed this system was superior. Cons: ADORAMA CAMERA!! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is due to Adorama Camera who sold it to me. I didn't want to slam the product due to the incompetence of the 3rd party seller. Do yourself a huge favor and do not purchase this from Adorama Camera! I will never purchase another thing associated with Adorama Camera. Purchase it directly from the manufacturer and save yourself a lot of headaches! I purchased this and the LeserPET Electronic Target from Adorama Camera to save a couple of bucks and do I ever regret it. When I received this product I assembled it according to the directions and it did not work. I suspected the battery was bad so I contacted Adorama Camera and they just told me to contact the manufacturer. The folks at Laser Ammo were very helpful and walked me through a few tests over the phone but couldn't say for sure what the problem was so they requested I send it to them. After they received the product, they promptly contacted me and said that a dead battery was sent to me. Laser Ammo shipped it back to me with 2 new batteries. I used it with the .40 adapter and loved it! Then I get my rifle out to switch to the .223 adapter and find that it is visibly dented and damaged. The adapter wouldn't even come close to threading onto the laser. You can imagine my frustration after spending nearly $300 on a system that can't be used the way it is intended. I'm awaiting a reply from Adorama Camera but I am anticipating the same generic "contact the manufacturer" response.

Simply much better quality compare to other similar product. I have the i-target bullet which is very similar to the laser-ammo one. For those the cap's rubber contact get destroyed by the firing pin. These are built a lot tougher and the kit covers almost all pistol caliber. The 12 GA shotgun adapter is like $30 so soon I will add that as well.

Aligns well with my wpns. The instructions for using the caliber collars are in with the little targets. Look for it because you can jam and possibly damage the main assembly. Good for lots of extra practice.

Thought it was awesome but it broke after 50 shots. I want another one but its too expensive to risk having 2 days use out of it
