The Crown of Gilded Bones

I’m stunned after reading the book. I was expecting some twists and turns and what I got is way beyond my expectations. Its just fabulous. With JLA being the author, you are always up for the treat which you have not expected. I love the relationship growth and the bond between Poppy and Cas is totally adorable. They are couple goals. With each page the anxiety grows, all you can think of is what will happen next and it’s keeps you on your nerves. And that ending is bang on, nothing I could have thought of. Whatever you think might happen next just goes pufff in the air and you get something much juicer and entertaining, and emotional. I’m looking forward for Book 4, which we have no news for. Just can’t get enough of poppy&cas.

No actual words justifies how incredible the novel is. Even though the novel moves from emotional to strategic and action mode nonetheless it carries the warmth’s of previous novel and answers to many questions.Novel ends with an ultimatum to continue but have to wait for next volume for further course which makes me sad.However only silver lining is Poppy’s many questions and adventure needs more volume which soothes the heart and hopes next book arrives as early as possible.

Book quality was alright not great. Poppy Balfour's discoveries are the most intriguing part of this book. I am pretty sure I'll read this whole series again.

There are no words to describe what I am feeling right now. Just want you all know that I finsihed this book one whole day and now I am waiting for next book's announcement. Can't wait for next!!

It’s one of the best book series I’ve ever read. In fact it is my favourite! Can’t wait for the fourth book to come out!

Tbh conversations the characters are having are repeating themselves after 3 books and it’s getting annoying. We get that Poppy is curious and Castee likes it when she’s violent. The author doesn’t need to use the same template for every 10 pages. It seems like she lacks creativity when it comes to dialogue writing...

The book was a great read, which is really not that surprising considering that the series has been really good so far. I love seeing how Poppy continues to develop as a character, coming to terms with the truth of who she is and what really happened in the history of their countries. I continue to love the relationship between Poppy and Casteel, seeing how they’re so supportive of each other, and basically push each other to be better versions of themselves by grounding each other. I also loved the plot and the storyline–the intricacies of the mythology around the gods, as well as the locations of the mythical existence of the home of the Gods. Overall, a great story and I cannot wait for the next book to come out!

It started so good. But in the end... It felt Forced? Too much? I had a lot of expectations. And there was no joining either. Just. No.

Eu devorei todos os livros da série de uma forma absurda. Apreciei a leitura em cada pedacinho, mas nesse eu achei que a autora se superou. Com absoluta certeza meu favorito até agora. Equilibrou os plots com a narrativa, me prendeu e me fez ficar com a curiosidade atiçada por cada nova página. A forma como desenvolveu o relacionamento do casal foi muito fluída, apesar do tempo ser relativamente pequeno (de relacionamento), o desenvolvimento que ela trouxe até agora, nesse livro tem um resultado absurdamente potente. A questão política e da própria fantasia é bem amarrada, e quando as coisas não fazem sentido, ela consegue explicar no tempo certo e encaixa as peças que faltam. O que faz com que a narrativa seja ainda mais viciante. Ela coloca todas informações muito bem introduzidas, o que as vezes em obras de fantasia são sempre muito jogadas, neste caso ela explica tudo no momento adequado, e o fato de Poppy também estar nesse papel de aprendiz do universo foi uma sacada dela, que se mostra extremamente EFICAZ no terceiro livro. Perceber como Poppy se transformou, aceitou seu fardo foi maravilhoso. A expectativa para o próximo livro esta alta, a narrativa esta chegando no clímax final e tem muito potencial, principalmente com a explicação e motivação do vilão, que até então era muito rasa. Simplesmente sensacional, nem sei expressar o sentimento. Me trouxe tantas emoções que por mim dava é 10 estrelas. Favoritado com certeza.

It's not just an epic novel! It's much more! heartbreaking, awesome, full of passion, love, adventures, misteries and treason! The characters, the history, Poppy, Casteel, Kieran...I don't have enough words to describe the perfection of this book!!!!! And I don't know if I'll survive the months until the next one!!! This is my top favorite series of Jennifer L. Armentrout!!! Bueno, ¿por dónde empiezo a hablar de este libro? No sé qué contar sin meter ningún spoiler. Han pasado tantas cosas en los anteriores libros...el final del segundo nos dejaba con el corazón en un puño, la boca abierta y un sinfín de teorías sobre lo que iba a suceder a continuación y qué sería de Poppy y Casteel. Sólo os diré una cosa: no lo tendrán nada fácil. No sólo tienen un enemigo muy visible y malvado al que hacer frente - Los Ascendentes y la Reina de Solís - sino que el peligro también acecha dentro de su nuevo pueblo y en las personas más cercanas a Casteel. Poppy tiene que hacer frente a todos los descubrimientos que está haciendo sobre sí misma, mientras intenta evitar una guerra en su lucha por salvar a su hermano y al de Casteel, mientras se enfrenta a un pueblo dividido que la idolatra y la teme a partes iguales. Pero la gente que la teme y desconfía de ella se lo harán pasar muy mal y es que Poppy pasará por mucho, sufrirá lo indecible y tendrá que luchar hasta su último aliento. Menos mal que tiene a Casteel y a Kieran de su lado, y a todos los lobos, pero aún así, no lo tendrá nada fácil, como decía antes. El desarrollo de esta novela es increíble. Tiene un ritmo que te atrapa y te consume, de principio a fin. No hay un momento para el descanso, para tomar aliento. Sí, hay ciertos pequeños "respiros", donde podemos disfrutar del increíble amor que se profesan Casteel y Poppy, podemos saborear su pasión y su entrega. Y hay incontables escenas maravillosas e increíbles. La trama se va desarrollando de forma vertiginosa y, si tenéis algún problema del corazón, os advierto: es posible que se os pare en más de un momento. Un principio apoteósico y un final de infarto. No sé cómo voy a sobrevivir hasta que salga el siguiente libro.

EPIC. This book is absolutely epic. I was gripped by the plot, the characters, the development, the romance, the spice. Everything about this book had me in an absolute chokehold and I freaking love every single heart-pumping moment. I love Casteel. His smirk, his arrogance, his heart, his dirty flirting, how he cares for Poppy and his friends. He is my favorite fantasy book boyfriend. And I adore Rhysand. (maybe a tie, but seriously, Casteel is everything). And Poppy? Her transformation from book one to the end of this book is nothing short of masterful. She is strong, emotional, brave, and honest about her fears. She’s a fighter and by the end of this book, she was a complete baddie. No notes. Awesome. And finally, Kieran. Lord help me but I am really hoping he gets more love in this next book bc ugh, he’s just yummy. Is this a literary masterpiece? Probably not, but my only real critique is that sometimes the author uses current day language breaks that the imaginary wall for me. Like, “we got this” That line actually stopped my reading flow. But overall, the development, the adventure, the challenge and the romance are all working. I laughed and cried and held my breath. The spice is great but not so spicy that if you aren’t a spice girlie, you can’t sort of skim over (but why would you??). Anyway, read this whole series. So so so good. 5+ stars. 2 peppers
