Does the trick for my eye itch and pain, no side effects I've noted
I wish I'd taken my eye-doc's advise sooner. These are excellent, and the 2-odd times a day I find I need them I look forward to the relief they provide. Usually completely resolve my eye allergies within 4-5 minutes from taking, starting within a moment of taking them. On the really bad days, these burn a little in the eyelids, but that settles after 4-5 seconds and I've noted that this is always when my allergies have been the worst, so I blame the allergy itself making me more sensitive there. If you regularly feel like you have pebbles/grit in your eyes, or like pepper got in em, give these a shot. I bought based on their primary ingredient, and that has no real side effects vs the other main antihistamine in the market from the medical stuff I read about them when researching these.

Love
I have cats, I'm allergic to cats. I don't have problems till I'm tired and rub my eyes a lot, then they get irritated, constantly water, keep feeling like something is in them so I keep wiping them out and rubbing them then the inner lining over my lower eyelid and eyeball ball will fill with fluid when it's really bad. This no longer happens to me, when the rubbing and allergy stuff starts I put these drops in and wash my hands and it cuts it off before it can even begin to get bad, life saver. I've talked to my Dr about prescription eye drops and he said insurance doesn't cover them and they're stupid expensive, no worries, these drops are great. I've tried many other allergy drops at the drug store and none handle the allergic reaction this well, these do nothing for redness or appearance, they are a straight forward allergy eye drop.

Amazing eye drops...best I’ve ever tried!
I started using these eye drops after a eye specialist recommended them. I have moderate dry eye issues and so am very susceptible to pollens etc. One trick he recommended and it works a treat is to gently pat excess around the lid and under eye area because it stops the associated swelling...it works amazingly! I’ve also used these drops with great success on mozzy and Nat bites. It takes about 30mins to kick in but then gives me about 8 hours relief from the crazy itching and swelling I usually get. I mark one bottle for the family to use for bites and Keep the other one separate for my eyes so as to not get it contaminated. Simply one drop in each eye morning and evening is enough to keep my eyes from looking like picture and feeling like someone has thrown sand in my eyes! Amazing drops, highly recommend them.

Finally a normal person again!!!!
I thought I had tried all the allergy eyedrops but I guess not. I have definitely tried all the regular ones and stuff with redness relievers and whatnot...tried oral antihistamines, ALL of the OTC ones, even had a prescribed one, no relief. I was literally MISusing the allergy eyedrops with pheniramine in them like sometimes every hour, and usually a few drops before minor relief. THIS STUFF WORKS. LITERALLY ONE DROP INTO EACH EYE AND 10 SECONDS LATER...BAM I'm like a normal person. I honestly forgot what it was like to not have itchy eyes. Also, I only needed to do it once a day, MAYBe twice on a bad day. Now for some reason I only need them once a week or so, not sure why, allergy season hasn't changed...anyway thank you B&L lifesavers!!!

Keeps my eyes relatively allergy free
This stuff works great when taken twice a day. It keeps most of my allergy symptoms away. I only gave it four stars as it has two issues for me. 1) I still have some slight symptoms (my allergies are pretty severe sometimes with eye secretions in addition to itchiness). 2) They contain preservatives which irritate my eyes after extended use. This one really needs mentioning and is a problem with any eye drops that has a shelve life of more than a month or two. The way I get around this is my putting these drops in my eyes, waiting 15 to 20 minutes and then using saline drops. this allows the medicine to get into my eye and washes away as much of the preservatives as possible. the only other solution if you are sensitive to preservatives is to buy prescription drops which run $60 - $120 per month.

The perfect happy medium between prescription strength and OTC allergy eye drops.
These are pretty great. They're not as good as the behind-the-counter-need-a-prescription ones, but for the price they do a great job. They do burn when I put them in, but the intensity of the burn seems to depend on how dry my eyes are. There are times the burn is so intense it makes my eyes water and I have to close them to knock the intensity down a couple of notches to bearable, but at least I know they're working. And like I said, that seems to be when I need them most because my eye allergies have dried out my eyes so it feels like I'm blinking grit. On a normal day, these will last 10-12 hours. I have some pretty intense eye allergies, so without paying for prescription strength eye drops, I'm pretty happy with that. On bad days they last 4-6 hours, but I usually run into a bad day only once every two weeks or so. If you're not looking to spend $100+ on "behind the counter" eye drops, or even $25+ once your insurance kicks in, give these a try. They're not perfect, but they are a perfect happy medium.

Same as Zaditor / Works fine with Acuvue Moist contact lenses.
I bought Alaway over Zaditor for 2 reasons. 1) It has the exact same active ingredient of Ketotifen Fumarate in the same concentration and 2) it was 1/3 less than Zaditor. Both Alaway and Zaditor are second generation allergy eyedrops which have antihistamine (which blocks your body's response to the histamine produced from the allergic reaction as well as mast cell stabilizers which prevent the release of histamines. When I used this I found that I had some initial immediate relief, but the true effect happened about a week or two later when I no longer had symptoms. These eye drops work by preventing symptoms so your body will need to heal and get rid of the existing histamines before you will have 100% allergy relief. Oh yeah, and I was able to use these successfully with my Acuvue Moist contact lenses by applying the eye drops first and waiting a couple minutes before putting on the lenses.
