I considered this purchase as I have recently been coming across quite a bit of information and musing on ayurvedic practice, (I think I spelled that right), reading that copper pots have been used for centuries, and copper somehow "charges" the water, and allows it to absorb better, helps with minerals..etc. So, after some perusing the vastness of the internet, I came across this pot, and it met all criteria to allow me the most ayurvedic (again hope that is spelled right), experience. Pure copper, hand made, (support local or international smalls business big plus), 100 % customer satisfaction no hassle return, can't beat that, and its budget friendly! Icing in the cake, along with reading a ton of reviews that gave this lil pot a 4 to 5 star rating, it was worth taking the chance, and after using a few weeks now, I am very pleased. I can't say I've noticed much change, there is a distinct flavor to my water, and sadly being I decided to try this in winter where humans dry out faster, I'ma need to give it a few more weeks to determine the hydration factor and other benefits, but it looks nice on my table, compliments my mug set from mixology, and thus far I am very pleased. No tarnish yet, easy to handle, and at the very least I feel better every time I pour me a cup of water. So, cheers!

This is a follow-up to a previous review made shortly after receipt of the product. DO NOT buy this item!!! I washed this item with soap and water and dried it with a cotton towel. I filled it with cold, tap water and placed it to sit as recommended for 24 hours. When I went to pour a glass of water I found a significant amount "debris" in the bottom of the pitcher. Since it had been covered with a paper towel while it was sitting - secured with a rubber band - I could only conclude that the debris came from the lining of the pitcher. I poured out the water and repeated the 'sit' process for a day or two. When I checked the smell and taste of the water, it did not come across as something I wanted in my body. So, I dumped the water and let the pitcher stand to dry. After a few days I could see dark spots on the interior of the pitcher that appeared to be the base metal that the copper plate had no longer adhered to. This pitcher is beautiful but at its core is junk. Who knows what metal your water will be exposed to in this item. NEVER again - not from this vendor!! John

Use every day!

This is the second time I’ve ordered from Artisans Anvil and I’m impressed yet again. This pitcher is absolutely beautiful and high quality. It has a hefty handle, a nice fitting lid, and is a great value for the money. I don’t know how they can deliver this product at such a fair price, but I recommend it. There were care instructions in the box and it was easy to clean, and there was no odd taste at all.

This item arrived very well packed ! It looks very nice and is very solid, well made ! It has a lid that comes off for filling or pouring. The water from it has a slight taste but I expected that and with the benefits that are supposed to be gained from drinking water from a copper vessel I'll take it but I'm sure after a bit I won't even notice the taste it's so slight ! This pitcher is so nice looking it would make a very nice gift too ! Recommended !
