Wonderful little gadget!

Amazing Customer Service, great product, needs a tweek for perfect
I ordered these after trying an off brand on Amazon. The off brand was adequate but had a lot of sound bleed. When I received my first pair of Shokz Open Runs they were AWESOME. extremely light, flexible, comfortable, I could wear all day without a headache, sounded great, and battery lasted ALL DAY!!! These were my go to headset for about two months. One day they bugged out and started triggering my hands free assistant. After charging them overnight, as I usually do, they were unresponsive. The warranty claim was easy to initiate but was overall slower than expected turn around time. About fourish weeks from starting a claim to receiving a new headset. Still, receiving a new headset was a plus. Used my replacement headset for about two weeks and the very same thing happened again. Called the warranty number and talked to a real person in Texas. I explained and he asked me how long I charge the unit for. I responded overnight. He said thats probably why they keep shorting out.... What? Its 2023. I havent had to time how long I charge something since I was a child and bought my toys at Radio Shack back in 1980. He told me it takes 2-3 hours to charge completely. Anything more may damage the battery. I asked is there no battery overcharge protection built into a $130 pair of headphones and he said no. Seriously good customer service experience overall but the product itself is lacking in durability. I don't have the time or brain power to remember to take a pair of headphones off the charger before they get damaged. After going over the included instructions, I can find no mention of charging times, however I do see operating temperatures and environments appropriate to its use. As seen in the photo, it states 32°-113°F. I work outside, in hot muggy Missouri,I sweat, profusely. I guess if you plan on sweating, don't use these outside in the summer, or winter, and plan your day around babysitting the charging of your headset, these might be the headset for you. I am returning mine for a refund. I hate giving low star rating. However no amount of customer service or usability can out weigh durability and an obvious flaw. I have hafld dozens of BT headsets from $-$$$. All of which have lasted years, charging overnight or longer. Please fix this issue and I would repurchase and give 6 stars if I could. UPDATE About two days after i emailed the company for an exchange (the refund window closed at 45 days) i was emailed a return lable. Less than a week after I made the phone call mentioned above, I received a replacement (and then some) in the mail. The product may have an issue but the 100% customers experience really does make up for the inconvenience. Keep innovative and refining your product, keep your A+ customer service, and you will dominate the wireless sound market.

Best form of listening without discomfort!
Although buying anything can be hit or miss most times these headphones are excellent. This pair has lasted me 2.5 yrs. so far. That says alot because I demand alot from them. I work in a very hot building in the summer and these get covered in sweat. I love the fact that they don't go inside your ears. I can hear everything and carry on conversations while listening to music as well. Excellent features include pause, play, skip buttons as well as phone answering and hanging up. Love love love this product.

Great option if you care more about comfort than loud audio quality.
Bought two, one for home and at work. They’re one of the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever had, I literally forgot that I had them on. To be honest I was very skeptical with bone conduction tech. Not anymore, it’s awesome. The sound quality is fair, it’s not great and the audio breaks up a bit on louder settings. Comfort is amazing. The battery life is good too, and the weight is minimal.

An Audiophile's Perspective On Sound Quality
There are some very obvious advantages to this technology over traditional headphones. You don't lose your situational awareness because your ears remain uncovered, you aren't sticking potentially filthy things into your ears, the design means you are less likely to lose them or have them fall out while you are exercising, they are much more compact than a set of over-the-ear headphones, they don't interfere with glasses, they are sweat and rainproof, etc. It is not hard to come up with a lot of scenarios where these are really the ideal headphone design. But the one issue people kept complaining about in the reviews I read before buying these was sound quality. Some people said these headphones are really only good enough for audiobooks, others said they happily listen to music on them regularly without issue. Which is it? I ran these things through my very demanding "speaker stress test" playlist and here are my results: The mids are generally ok, reasonably crisp. The highs are also reasonably well defined. Nothing that made me swoon with delight, but it was all perfectly serviceable for going on a run. Honestly, I assumed they would sound tinny and awful throughout the entire range, so I was pleasantly surprised at how well they handled vocals, guitar, strings, piano, horns etc. But lots of music also has bass notes, and this is where the sound signature just kind of falls apart. If you are already familiar with how the bass rolls off too early on a cheap stereo, this is very much like that. Except that the bass roll off point is at an even higher frequency than you expect. I don't know how low these can go, but basically they have almost no bass response, and what little they have is muddy and generally quite poor. Now that I understand what these can do and what they can't, it's pretty easy to understand why the sound quality reviews are all over the map. Basically, people have varying musical tastes and affinity for bass. If you are listening almost exclusively to hip-hop these are going to seem essentially unusable. If you listen to a violin concerto you will be fairly happy. Rock songs will have the vocals and guitar, but only the top half the drums rendered correctly. Importantly, they also can't get terribly loud without vibrating against the side of your head in a weird, annoying way. I could generally find a comfortable volume where this wasn't an issue, but you will not be drowning out any ambient noise with these, particularly since your ears remain uncovered. So you really can't use these in any sort of loud environment without earplugs And if you are putting in ear plugs, you might as well use in-ear headphones instead. Walking around on a normal, urban street with these is generally fine, but anything louder than that and you may have some issues with these. I did listen to an audiobook on these and thought they did a great job, and they were reasonably comfortable to wear for well over an hour. So probably their ideal use is listening to a podcast or audiobook while walking in a quiet park, or anywhere where you must maintain situational awareness. I think that means these are fine for what they are, and if you need the considerable advantages they have, you live with the trade offs. Yes, it is possible to listen to music on them, and at least some music actually sounds reasonably decent on them, particularly if you are in a quiet place. But if you don't need the various advantages they have, then get yourself some regular, full-range headphones that will provide a much better bass response than these. I am certainly not going to hang up my $300 planar magnetic headphones in favor of these when listening at home. But for listening to an audiobook while walking the dog, commuting and riding my bike, they will be fine.

Great fit
2nd pair only because I misplace mine in my home and always use these. Now I have 2 for easy access. I love the weight of these, light, comfortable over my ears, nice fit, and easy to hear sound around me while I’m listening to something on my phone when I’m taking a walk or bike ride. The charge lasts quite long. Several of my friends have tried mine and threw out their old “in the ear” style earphones. Now they use these, too.

Outstanding sound
I have been searching for a safer option to use as headphones while I’m running. I normally wear bulky sound canceling headphones when I run. But then I cannot hear traffic that is coming or people talking to me while I am running. I also want to be able to listen to music so now I have found the bone conduction headphones. The sound is outstanding and the clarity is really good. These are what are resistance so I don’t have to worry about my long runs and excessive sweating. Being able to control the volume by just tapping by my ear is very convenient. I don’t have to stop running to be able to adjust controls. Similar bone conduction headphones were almost twice the price so I decided to give these a try. These are definitely well worth the money! I would definitely purchase these again and recommend these to anyone who would like hands-free music with great sound quality and without the bulky over the year headphones. This is a great option! Disconnected very quickly to my phone without any sort of problems. The only common is that I tend to get a mild headache after a very long run from the slight pressure of the headphone behind my ear. But on shorter runs, that does not seem to be a problem.
