Device was recommended to my by my physical therapist. I ordered it hoping for good results. Sadly, like most reviews when I received it the only thing I could have used it for is a paperweight. Did not charge or power up. Spoke with customer service asked for and received a replacement. Also was just a well made paperweight. Asked for a received a refund.

I am a massage therapist and I use this on clients and they love it! It is so much better than the massage guns, imo. Most of the clients I've used it on have said they like it better than the guns as well. Those are great for some areas of the body, but (imo) too much a lot of the times and too easy to use too much and/or too high of an intensity. Plus when you are sore I would think the last thing you would want is someone/something punching or poking you, and that is what those are basically doing. This massager vibrates and oscillates (like a polishing buffer, hence why they call it Impact Buffer) and is so much better on tight and sore muscles and soothing to the nervous system. I've used it on a variety of clients, including elderly clients, and they all said they really liked it. When I have a client that has a tight spot or area that doesn't seem to want to move, I use this for a couple of minutes, the muscles loosen up and I am able to work the muscles better. I also use this on myself and found that it very effective and soothing to the muscles. I had considered buying this for a little while, as it seems every massage therapist uses the guns and I don't like those. Then I took a class with one of my favorite instructors and he uses a similar massager and he was talking about how and why it was better than the massage guns, though that one is a bit larger, more expensive, and needs to be plugged into an outlet. After that class I bought this Impact Buffer, as it is compact (compared to the other one), has a nice carrying case, and has a rechargable battery, which lasts a good amount of time. The surface area is smaller than the one that instructor uses, but I think that is better because you can target specific areas better. This one also comes with a pointed head, so you can really target a specific area. I mainly use the flat/rounded head, and have not used the other ones all that much. I did have to reach out to customer service, they were very responsive and got it resolved very quickly.

Won’t power up or charge. Same results from the unit I originally purchase and the replacement I subsequently got. The boxes looked brand new. However, both units neither charge or powered up. There was a line in the manual that said to never let the battery get depleted of charge. I wonder how old these units were kept in inventory without dallo g that this could have been the very issue. The batteries went unused for so long that now they weren’t responding. Not a good thing.
