Great ventilator for antique PU
My husband purchased a 1950 Chevy Pickup for his retirement a few years ago. Beautiful black with black leather seat covers. Those unfamiliar with old vehicles need to be reminded that there is no airconditioning except for the windows and a few vents. Needless to say that the interior gets very very warm in the summer. I remembered that my grandparents had removable meshy seat cushions that they used when I was a little girl. Although their buicks had the earliest form of airconditioning, it still got quite warm inside. I searched the internet and of course Amazon had just what I was looking for. Are they gorgeous and stylish? No. But they certainly do the job and allow air to circulate under and behind you. It has been used all summer with little sign of wear. Do I expect it to last years? No, but for the price we will get good use of it and then purchase another. It's been a life saver.

More disposable garbage...
I've had this for just over one year -- i use it in a vehicle that may get used once or twice each week (and i stopped using the cushion alltogether in the winter). The seams have failed in three places exposing the wire construction coils. I have repaired them with gaffer tape which is likely more resilient the materials used in the cushion itself. It gives fine ventilation in the summer, but it doesn't stay in place very well and interferes with the seatbelt buckle access. More gaffer tape would minimize shifting, but if it's just going to fall to pieces after only several dozen uses, what's the point in continually fixing the repairs? Like everything else, our disposable society would rather buy something cheap and expendable -- if there were a higher quality option, i would easily spend $50 if the thing was built to last.BTW; I use the cushion in pick-up truck that is rather high off the ground (with no side steps) and it requires me to "slide" in and out of the vehicle -- i'm sure this is something that has exploited the inherent weaknesses of the materials.

Great bus or truck driver seat cushion
I drive buses and found this to be a godsend in the hot weather, even though our buses have A/C. It can get hot in the driver's seat and this does the trick to keep your clothes from sticking to you. I also like that it gives support for those seats that are getting a little saggy and it also protects my clothing from those seats that are dirty - from dust, sweat, cigarette smell, and wash bay guys' and mechanics' grime. It has a rather flimsy elastic band to slip over the back of the seat and is also handy for storing the cushion. I am going to add a shoulder strap to it because it is awkward to carry around. It's holding up OK, but I can see before long that the elastic band is going to give way as well as the material of the seat. No seams have let go yet but I am careful with it. My driving buddies have tried it out and now they all want one.

Keeps Me Cool on My Mobility Scooter!
Once a summer mainstay of auto supply stores, dime stores and discount department stores such as Caldor, ventilated car seats are now quite hard to find. In a car without air conditioning, they really help to keep you cooler. One big advantage, your back won't be wet with sweat when you arrive with one of these.I use this on the vinyl seat of my mobility scooter, it's a perfect fit and does it's job very well. Looks like it's well made, however most of these only lasted a season or two.

Cool again!
Works for me, these are hard to find in a brick and mortar store!Keeps my shirt from sticking to the back of the seat.Nice and large, fits in our Park Ave. I orders 2 so in case I can't find one to buy in a couple years!I have had this at least a month and it is holding up well, I expect it will last me 2 or 3 years.Shipping and time of arrival was very good.

concerns on kool Kooshion ventilated seat
Comfort Products Kool Kooshion Ventilated Seat Cushion Black[...]Size is smaller that looks in the pictures; it does not cover the complete back. The illustration is not in a real scale or the chair where it is supported is smaller than a real chair. The product and the concept are ok, but unfortunately are for kids or small persons.

OK for the price
Took on a 6 hr. road trip right after receipt. Worked fine except the back strap which barely made it around my seat broke before I headed back, but seat cushion still worked & stayed mostly in place. Read prior reviews complaining about durability, but having used similar products in past, knew they only last a season or two (if you are light & don't "ride" them hard). Even spent a night on the road, catching some sleep on it-kept me cooler in warm surroundings, but as soon as temp cooled nearing morning, I got off of it as soon as possible since the mesh seating is not very comfortable for extended periods. But at least does help keep me cooler than without it for a minimal price.

Yup, air flow! Wow...
For air flow these are great on very hot days with no AC, and yup my work vehicle has no AC!! Boo Hoo! Anyway, not as uncomfortable as you would think sitting on wood and springs. Hardly notice it any more. They are a little easy to rip the wood covering so you do need to be a little careful with them. I also had to cut elastic band and sew in Velcro as my seat belt is connected to seat back and cannot slip the cover over it. Not a big deal to have some air flow under your bum on a hot day! Will buy again, and probably again to!
