I would share an image, but because of the nature of this item having personal information printed on it- you'll have to just believe my review. I have 2 dogs- an 8 year old Lab and a mixed breed puppy that I adopted a few months ago. But I know you're not here for me to gush about my pups as much as I'd love to. On to the tag- I noted that this would be coming from China based on the seller info which I normally try to avoid, but this tag had what I was looking for. QR on back, name printed on front (in a selection of colors which is a bonus) and the option to have a cute little clipart icon. My puppy is female- being that all my other animals in the home are male (also have a cat and lovebird) I was so excited to go all pink with this little lady, so I opted for pink text with the little bone art. When it finally arrived, which was actually pretty quick considering where it came from- I was surprised how nice the quality was. I set up her profile immediately and got her tag on. I liked it so much I ended up ordering a second tag for my lab, as his old tag was pretty beat up. Both look great and have held up well with these little monsters wearing them for the past few months. My only complaint would be regarding the key rings that are included to attach the tag to the collars- they include 2 sizes. The smaller size was ideal for my puppy- I got the ring on and unfortunately the metal is rather cheap, just getting the tag on bent the ring open so that there was too much of a risk of the tag getting caught in the open space and eventually sliding off. The larger ring worked fine, but I preferred the smaller size. That being said, those are easy to find if you want to use a different ring- the important part is the tag and both are great! Any time the QR code is scanned on the back you will get an email letting you know someone has viewed the page, which is a great heads-up if your doggies wander off and someone has found them.

I loved the idea of this, I take my cats camping and even though they are well contained, I worry about a mishap and if they ever got away and couldn't find their way back it would break my heart. This tag is HIGH QUALITY, and honestly that is probably the thing that makes it not ideal for a cat. I switched out the ring for a smaller one, but it still just seems too heavy for my kitty's neck (it is a sturdy metal). For a dog, this would be great, but to be suitable for a cat, it would have to be a really large, stout cat (my cat is 12 pounds for reference) I will say that it took a couple of weeks to get it, the tag was very easy to set up and the scan did notify me via email immediately that it had been scanned. I wish they had a more lightweight option for a cat or smaller animal. Other than that, it was perfect!

We were getting ready for a road trip and wanted to update our dogs’ harnesses and ID tags, so I came across My Lucky Tag and decided to give it a try. I’d never customized anything through Amazon before, so this was kind of a test to see if it was worth it. They did take a little while to arrive, but since they’re custom-made, that was totally understandable. When they arrived, they were super cute and all of the information printed on them was correct. The customer website was very easy to use when entering my dogs’ information, and I loved that it was 100% free—no credit card or payment info required at all, which was fantastic and reassuring. The only thing I’d recommend is allowing customers to upload their own photos for the tag or offering more design options. We weren’t huge fans of the ones available, but it wasn’t a deal-breaker. Overall, a great experience and something I’d definitely recommend.

I bought this for my 6 month old Westie. I put it on him at night and by the morning it looked like this on both sides. The QR is unreadable now. I wish the product was more durable. I’ll now have to buy something else.

Perfect and so easy to setup the QR code. You get 3 photos of your pet which I think is great because it allows for different moods for better verification. I have 3 dogs and it was still super easy to setup.

UPDATE: MyLuckyTag responded to my review to explain why they group the emails (to avoid nuisance emails). They seem very willing to help with the issues I had with the product. They even REFUNDED the price of the item when I didn’t ask for a refund. All in all, MyLuckyTag appears to be a reputable and upstanding company. I am still going forward with another product. It goes back to my trust in the tag. But I am very happy with MyLuckyTag’s willingness to work with me and their customer service is excellent. ORIGINAL POST: Pros: Great look, appears to be very durable, can personalize info shown ON TAG, can personalize info shown WHEN SCANNED Cons: THE GPS LOCATOR DOES NOT WORK!! Email scan notification is delayed, missing, or GROUPED BY THE HOUR (?). I was excited to get this tag for my new pup. I opened it and set it up right away. Fairly simple set-up and I fumbled through that pretty quickly. I scanned the QR code to test its accuracy and check out my pup’s profile as a user. Scanning was easy and I liked the look of the display. All the info I entered was right there along with my pup’s uploaded picture. Looked great. Then I went to look for the email notification I was expecting to receive, notifying me that the tag had been scanned. I received it within about two minutes. That was acceptable. But the link in the email to the tag’s location showed that the tag was SIX MILES AWAY!! Total FAIL!! So I kept scanning, changing locations in the house, the yard, up the street. STILL SIX MILES AWAY!! The emails became more spotty, sometimes they showed up in five minutes, sometimes not at all. So I emailed the company, put the tag aside and waited. An hour later I received the (missing) notification email. There were six notifications that had been GROUPED TOGETHER and emailed to me as an HOURLY NOTIFICATION!! There is no way that, as a panicked parent of a missing puppy, I want to wait AN HOUR to see where my puppy was AN HOUR AGO!! Complete fail!! At this point I can’t trust the product. I need something reliable from the very beginning. I will add that someone from the company respond via email within about three hours. That part is good. They gave me several reasons for why the GPS could be wrong (a family member had the URL for the tag, that I had hit preview, that the location was blocked). None of these applied. I did not try to resolve the issue with the company. It may be that it can be worked out. I don’t know. Like I said, I don’t trust it and if I don’t trust it I can’t use it. I didn’t pay much for the tag so I didn’t ask for a refund. I am buying another product that my daughter uses for her dogs and I know works. That one doesn’t have the personalization on the tag itself which is the reason I didn’t buy it in the first place.

Update: while the product did have the issues as described below, the seller reached out to me in an email, after my review, and offered a full refund. That's great customer service and much appreciated. They made it right, even though I didn't seak out them to get a refund ( I thought too much time had passed). After looking at many options for replacement tags, I ended up buying from them again, I just went with a different model. Loved it at first and enjoyed being able to put my dogs picture on it etc. But here we are approx. 6 months later and the tag has separated and the part with the identifying info/ picture, fell off. It was glued into the back piece. There is still the QR code portion on the back. But the actual dogs name and our name and numbers (in case you don't want to scan the QR code) was gone.
