The charging place is ruined by rust and it can't charge again

I got this for my husband bc his other ones kept breaking . This cup gets so hot! You can start a room temp and it will still get hot! It does not turn off, so be careful when you test taste your drink! It gets really hot. It would be great if there was a temperature gauge or turn off at a certain temperature. You have to unplug it to turn it off, but know your coffee will be hot!

The cup kept my coffee hot, too hot actually, I had to unplug only after 10 or so minutes and the outside of the cup was too hot to touch. My other issue is, I had to assemble the male end of the charger. Then the first time I pulled (not yanked) the charger out of the cigarette lighter to let my drink cool down a bit, the pieces sprang out all over the front seat and floor (they were not loose when I had assembled it). I've never had any kind of car charger that I had to assemble myself. I also noticed that it gave off a strong electric fire smell as it was heating up. If the cup and charger is so cheaply made that one, you must assemble part of it yourself, two, it smells like an electric fire is about to happen in your car and three, part of the charger falls apart immediately after using, then it most likely will happen again to any replacement I may get so it wasn't worth exchanging. The 1 star is for being leak proof and easy to clean.
