So good
OK, I love good very dark roast coffee brewed *strong* with a ton of sweet creamer in it. Basically a hot milkshake. My morning joe for 50 years. So roast me. But that creamer is horrible for you and I'm trying to honor my health duties and the pleasing skinniness of my ancient body, so I decided to try a light coffee and cut the creamer way back. I like Kicking Horse coffee, so paid too much for 10 little oz of Hola. Surprise! It's very delicious even with less than half my usual creamer. I could drink it black I think (that's saying a lot for me) - really smooth and kind of white chocolatey, it has a natural sweetness and really lots of body. It has nuances. I mean, it's a different beast altogether, but I'll make the trade - just come on, make it a pound, guys. Obviously you shouldn't trust my coffee palate but I love this stuff. Oh - if you live alone or want to make single DO try the Clever Cup brewer - it's big enough for a humongous mug, gets great reviews from coffee nerds, is super cheap, really easy, takes almost no space, and brews wonderfully.

A decent alternative.
The caffeine was more effective in this one oflver the three sister medium roast. My husband prefers the Dunkin' brand coffee because of the caffeine and said this one was almost comparable. The flavor he says was mild and smooth. Not rich or thick.

Great light roast! Not sure about the medium yet
We first ordered the medium and were really happy with it until about halfway through the bag when the flavor changed to be ashtray-e. Figured it was a fluke. Ordered the light roast anyways, and so glad we did--it's amazing--unless we brew it the drip coffee way in our Ninja coffee maker. Then it tastes like burned cigarette butts and way too dark. We realized you need way less to make the same coffee we were used to from cheap brands. We just do a poor man's pour-over by putting a really fine tea mesh strainer into the cup, pour hot water to fill, and let it sit 3 minutes--goodbye to acidic coffee and over-extraction! This way the flavors of both coffees are outstanding for the price! The light roast is so flavorful, fruity, nutty. Just some caveats with what brewing methods worked for us.

Tastes pretty good
I saw all the glowing reviews for this flavor and decided to try it. I had previously tried one of the dark roasts, which I did enjoy. This one is also enjoyable, but I'm slightly disappointed by it considering all the good word. I must reiterate that I do enjoy this coffee, but it's simply not lived up to the hype behind it. That said, I do not regret my purchase, but I probably will not buy this flavor again in the future.

Very impressive
Great product and made well. The attention to detail is outstanding. Favorite flow and delicious this product out. Does any product out there. Organically grown and it has the date of packing on the package.

GrEaT Coffee!!
Coffee Snob Approved!! Kicking Horse is in my top 2-3 favored brands, and this light roast is ideal for blending into the dark(er) roast(s) to add some of the caffeine back in - spiking it, I call it; I use an apx. 3:2 drk/lgt blend and get "my" perfect cup pretty much every time. I use a French press for my coffee, a process that I've found the 'chipped' grind is the best for - so I normally grind my own beans as well. I couldn't find this in any other grind/package this month, which tell me it is gaining in popularity - no surprise there. I'm pretty much a generic, simplistic minimalist type about most things in life - HIGH Quality coffee is one of the scant few things that breach that; "high" end coffee and high-quality Art supplies are the 2 main areas - and Kicking Horse is usually that choice. The 10 oz. bag is kind of a blah but when the overall bean supply isn't as high as desired - it isn't a bad way to stretch it. Opening a bag of this gives not just a grand aroma, but a virtual high as well.

Excellent coffee.
This is our favorite coffee its smooth and not so strong that we have to add a lot of half n half to make it milder. My girlfriend likes to froth a cold foam and pour this in for a delicious morning treat. We appreciate that this coffee is fair trade in organic.
