Meinl CymbalsMDPP Dynamic Pedal Pad for Single and Double Kick Practice

I had my doubts as to just how heavy duty this would be. I'm an old Metal Head and play pretty aggressively. Has a good feel to it and it seems to hold up to the hammering. Wish I had found this years ago!

I put it on a board with the front spurs set into it. The slide has been overcome! Don't even miss a drum.x

I should have read better I got carried away and clicked order before looking but could have been better advertised as only the pad no pedal included I have no opinion on quality because I returned it before using it

It's cheap. It moves too much when playing, I tore through the foam in like a day and the welds were off so my left beater barely fit and was at an angle.

I really, REALLY wanted to love this thing. I opened the box and was really impressed with the quality; it's built like a tank and very simply constructed. The pad has a great feel to it and is not excessively loud. However, I am unable to make it stay in place, even with the spikes fully deployed. Within seconds it is sliding across the rug, taking the pedal with it, and I am not a super hard hitter. I didn't return it because I am hopeful I can still find a solution, so if anyone has one, please reply to this review. =D

Because of the bent steel design, when you set it up, the pad's angle is slightly skewed from perpendicular of the pedal-attach tongue (at least mine is). I had to angle the pedal a bit sideways to get the beaters to strike flat.It also scoots on hardwood a lot, but the cleats probably work well on rug. Otherwise solid product.
