The timer is set by mechanical dials so if the power goes out it will reset to whatever you have the device set to.

Q: When this timer turns on and off, how loud is the click? Some timers can be heard in adjacent rooms.

I would say it is pretty quiet. I can hear mine if I am in the living room (that is where mine is), but can not hear it in the kitchen (about 4-5 feet away and no walls in between. Can only really hear it if I am trying to.

Q: Need a timer for every 5 seconds on and off for the Auger on a pellet stove will this device work?

That's what I use it for an it works great I have four of them one is for the auger motor for the fan and then I have waste oil and I have another on top of waste oil to regulate the solenoid for every five seconds per one minute

Q: So could operate a fan to say turn it on for 10 second every 2 minute? Off for 2 min, on for 10 seconds, rinse-repeat continuously?
