Enjoy an incredible, high-quality 3D entertainment experience when you combine this pair of adult-sized 3D Active Glasses in black with a compatible BRAVIA 3D HDTV and the separately available 3D Sync Transmitter. Review: Good replacement Review: Ive had 3d capability for over a year and just hadnt used it till I watched a movie at a friends house. I finally got the glasses from sony because I did not know if others were compatible with sony tv and bluray player. These work just fine but they are kind of big and a little pricey, we watched a one hour documentary just to test them out and they didnt bother me or my wife at all. I am going to order and try the cheaper lighter ones to see if they work too and if so I will get a few more of those for guests.

The local retailer wants $150 for these glasses. I found them for a lot less. Be aware these are brand specific so a Sanyo or Panasonic pair won't necessarily work for viewing a Sony. The battery is a common disc type you can find in most drugstores so they are not hard to locate. Replacement insertion is easy. You also have to have an emmiter either built in or bought with your 3D TV. You cannot simply buy the glasses and see 3D. Many note eye strain and or headache watching 3D television. Perhaps that's why the format hasn't sold as well as expected. The picture is grand but the downside is they darken the picture (which you can compensate for on your set) and they do cause fatigue in long viewing. They is nothing concrete to substantiate this but if I had young children I would limit their viewing of any 3D programming. Sony even puts this disclaimer in the info sheet they provide. Glasses are very adjustable and fit over your eyeglasses unless you have oversize frames. They do make a separate children's size. These are comfortable and lightweight enough so as not to be distracting while viewing. I experience no more eye strain with these than watching a theatrical 3D presentation... but it is a factor. With satellite TV, I get broadcast 3D on three channels which does expand available programming. There are only a few DVD's as of now. If you can obtain a copy from EBAY, the promotional copy of Avatar in 3D is the best example to show off the capability of your 3D television. It won't be availaable to the general pubic (I read) until Nov 2011. I compared Samsung, Panasonic, and Sony 3D sets and went with the 60" Sony Bravia XBR not just for the 3D; but because it had a superior picture and built in emmitter and WiFi. It comes with 2 pair of these included. Extra glasses were a must buy . 3D is super especially for sporting events like Nascar and basketball.

These glasses were the exact ones that I purchased at best buy, but I was able to save $35 on each pair. I wear glasses and these glasses fit over my glasses and are very comfortable. I really don't have any complaints about these classes, and I certainly would purchase them again through Amazon because of the savings.

Works ok but battery needs frequent charging. One of the pair of glasses has stopped working within couple of years, in spite of hardly being used
