Glorious Switch Opener - Durable ABS Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Switch Opener (GLO-Acc-SO)

Looking at other reviews, I saw people eating this poorly for gateron switches… I picked it up despite needing it for lubing my gpro milky reds and I had no issues. The negative reviews mentioned that the angle is too harsh, pushing the tabs too far and damaging the switch latching mechanism but I think they were probably just pushing way too hard. To use these properly, you just need to push until the clips pop off. You still need to pull the switch apart afterwards but this requires very little effort. If you are pushing on the switch to the point the top housing just falls off, you are pushing too hard. I also chose this because it is plastic and not metal as to not scratch my switches as well as it being cheaper than pretty much any other option I found where the reviews weren’t people saying that it simply didn’t fit the switch it said it was for. Anyways, I opened 91 switches with it and had 0 issues!

the 4 pin barely works

Used to open a bunch of Akko rose reds. No problems. Some switches needed a second try to open but not many. Would recommend for Akko switches.

Please do not waste your money, the unit is plastic and the prongs that separate the switch bend and it is is so are to open the switch, I use glorious products a lot and thought this would be a decent option. You can get a metal opener or the same if not less that will work 10x better.

Definitely not a high quality feeling product, but it gets the job done and does it well and for that 4 stars is warranted.

I bought this to open kailh switches and it just doesn’t work for me. I got one to open successfully. The first few switches one side would pop open but couldn’t get the other side. The last few switches I’ve done I can’t even get one side to open. I’m pressing one it as hard as I possibly can and tearing my finger up and just doesn’t work. In the video you have to search for how it works they just show putting the switch in and pushing down but that doesn’t work. They only showed cherry switches too. Maybe it works better for cherry but if you’re doing Kailh switches don’t bother with this. Edit: I’ll update my review to 3 as customer service was very helpful and said I received a defective item as it should work. I would be interested to order another to try to see if that’s the case.

Used it to open up about 200 switches and I have to say, for being a light piece of plastic it did very well.

Doesn't work for all switches but definitely helped with almost all the switches I needed to open.

The plastic design did not make it through a pack of 70 switches before giving way and when it was working required way more force to open switches than would be necessary with a metal opener. The 'sharp' edges that are supposed to go between the upper and bottom housing have rolled over and dented. TL;DR, just get a metal one.

Lo switch opener fa il suo sia per switch MX che NX. Se avete una Glorious Lube station è fatto apposta per fittarci. La qualità costruttiva è però mediocre, plastica che da idea di fragilità e poco durevole e al prezzo a cui viene proposto (17 EUR) lo trovo davvero esagerato.

Hab gedacht macht ein unterschied ob Metall oder Plastik aber finde Metall besser der Preis ist zu teuer wollte es für meine lube Station.
