Kurt Vonnegut Drawings

Best known as the author of inventive, witty and ironic fiction, Vonnegut was also a student of modern abstract expressionism. His artwork adorns several of his books. Lithographs and silk screens of his drawings are escalating in value. I have been a big fan of Kurt Vonnegut's writing since I first read Cats Cradle in the late 1960's. It is my favorite book and I reread it at least yearly. Caveat: Look before you leap! Vonnegut's drawings do not appeal to all. I recommend checking this volume out at a library. You will either love it or hate it. I love it! I bought it!

I am delighted with this book. Not only does it provide much insight into the mind of a great author. It also presents a wonderful collection of artwork that is colorful, expressive and very creative. Kurt Vonnegut liked to play with concepts -- both visual and written.

Wow, what an excellent publication. There are a few distinct sections, and you can really some interesting art. As I understand, Vonnegut actually fancied himself an artist, and wished that he could live another life to be an artist. It's a great book to look through and try to gain a sense of his mind.

When my son was in high school, he and I read Vonnegut's books together. It was very special to me as we could share our experiences with the books. Now he is 46, and when I saw this book reviewed in our paper, I pre-ordered it. It came right on time. When I gave it to my son, his face lit up with pleasure. He reminded me that the books we read had drawings in them. He was very happy to receive this gift.

Vonnegut towers (towered even physically) in the American literary landscape. This album will reveal to you his distinct, refined and intelligent gift as a visual artist. Splendid.

This is a terrific book for any fan of Kurt Vonnegut. His drawings are as unique as his writings, and this is a wonderful collection. Highly recommended!

Excellent condition, well packaged and an incredible book!

There was no chance to read into the main part of the book. It's apply the name of the famous writer and the enthusiasm of his readers, but the book is disproportionately poor for the price.
